Since I finally registered an account, I figured I'd introduce myself.

I've been lurking the DMT-Nexus forums for almost 2 years on and off, and today was the day I decided to finally make an account. I first found out about the site a couple years ago on Google while researching DMT. After seeing quite a few high quality post, DMT-Nexus became my main source of DMT reading, whether it be experiences, or teks.

I have experience with many psychedelics, but have only done DMT once, and it was a sub-breakthrough dosage. This resulted in a non-pleasurable experience, but I am looking forward to attempting it again sometime soon, with a higher dosage, proper technique, and a better setting. I do, however, have quite extensive experience with mushrooms, which I would probably consider my substance of choice.

That's about all I can think to write right now. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Could you elaborate a little more on your DMT experience? Curious as to why you think it being a low dose resulted in a non enjoyable experience.

Some people feel that way, although I actually love low doses. They have helped with so many things and its fun to experiment in that headspace. Where you are still conscious with your thoughts being manipulated a little. Gives my thought processes a neat flow. Beings that it was your only experience, I would hold off on any judgements just yet.

Welcome to the nexus!

I was told by my friends that it was a breakthrough dose, so I was expecting a breakthrough. This, coupled with the fact that it was my first time, led me to slightly panic when I didn't really get any of the effects I had been expecting. I'm not blaming the DMT whatsoever, it was my fault for not knowing as much as I do now and diving in(or attempting to), and slightly my friends fault for giving me some weak DMT and false hopes.

One of the ROAs I'm most interested in is Changa, which I plan on doing lower doses of the first few times. I'm almost positive if I were to try low doses now, I would have no problem with them, so I'm not trying to judge low doses or anything.

Sometimes people tend to put too much effort into "The Breakthrough". I say let it come how it may on its own. Having expectations at all will usually result in disappointments.

It probably wasn't "weak DMT", as thats not really something that exists in most cases. IME. You also dont always breakthrough on a "breakthrough" dose. Some people are different, and technique also plays a huge role. Either way it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders and know what your aiming for. I wish you luck.

Changa is awesome.

Would you suggest Caapi enhanced leaf or normal Changa for a first timer to it? And if I do use Caapi, it will be extract from yellow Caapi. What strength would be sufficient, 5x, 10x?

I say go big, just be cautious of the DMT dose size. Start low when dosing. Also don't make weak Changa. Make nice strong changa and dose low, then work your way up.

Always try substances by themselves so you know how they effect you. I've made pure caapi joints, smoked blue lotus. Get to know each plant.

I think expecting is a terrible thing to do with DMT. Welcome and good luck in your future travels.

Expecting anything with any big dose of something would be a mistake, simply and well put!

nope. Sorry. When you've clocked in a decade you will understand. Peace brother. And I'm 33 years old, just you know.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

Maybe that was said wrong. HIGH expectations are a terrible thing to have in regards to DMT. I may not have much experience with DMT, but life experience I do have. And in life (at least my life) high expectations are the main thing that lead to disapointment. If you do not expect much, then disapointment is virtually impossible. Once you enter a situation expecting greatness and greatness you do not reach, then you have disappointed yourself and destroyed a little piece of confidence. If you come from the other end of the spectrum, expecting very little, and you reach well past your expectations then you have filled yourself with joy and pride. So I will stick by my methods. Some call it being pessimistic. I call it being realistic. I try not to expect anything. Keeps me sane.

But after all, everyone is different so what works for me may not work for anyone else. In the end we can only relate to ourselves and advise based off our own experiences.
