What a long journey it's been. When I consider the starting point and what threshold I now stand before, it's been an incredibly long journey. Constantly searching. Constantly seeking the truth. It's all led me to here...to The DMT Nexus.
I'm really excited to be here and know one thing for sure: I thought the journey had already begun, but it's only just about to start!

EDIT: Having a bit more time to add to this Introduction Essay, I thought I'd add a bit more about me and less about the random thought, shooting through my head.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, I can't say I thought much about the psychedelic subset of society. In my years of perusing up and down the city, I've crossed paths with many-a-psychonaut, but it never occurred to me that any number of them could have held the key to something I've been interested in for some time. As a routine cannabis user, at a very early (too early) age, the expansion of consciousness was something I explored immediately. Understanding the "Why?" it was deemed an illegal substance came shortly afterwards.

Though I've limited my experimentation with mind altering medicines to cannabis, I really do feel that I needed a certain amount of growth, in order to prepare myself for integration of further expansion, rather than preparedness for the medicines themselves.

I've been lurking on these forums for several months and I'm fairly excited to be on this trek.

Hello endlessness and thank you for the welcome.

I'll be working on my first extraction with ACRB, along with a friend, later this week.
He has the equipment and privacy at his place, being a bachelor, so DMT will be my first foray into psychedelics. I've been invited numerous times, this weekend was no exception, to try psilocybin; but I'm so close to DMT, I don't think I want to "pop my cherry" with anything else. Maybe later. Also, I feel "special" in that I have no other psychedelic experiences to take into this journey. I can't say my extensive cannabis use has ever produced a psychedelic response. Cannabis is so much more cerebral for me.

His place is grungy and cluttered, but not in an ominous way and the energy is always positive. I plan on my experience to include darkness, silence, and peaceful thoughts on being educated in whatever way I am called. I fully believe I have arrived at this point, precisely at this time, because I can learn and integrate more fully than ever before. So I'm advancing in that knowledge.
