I have found that the best way to seperate soup mix from your NPS is basically just to decant the NPS as best you can, but then before freezing or doing anything with it just let it sit in a jar for 30 minutes or so. All of the basic soup droplets will settle to the bottom and then you can just pour off your naptha and leave the droplets of base soup at the bottom. No need to do a mini a/b, soda carb wash, or re-x to remove base soup contamination if you do what I just mentioned.
