When the time is right, try again.

Although it is precisely what I didn’t do (I extracted a silly amount), I think that if you are doing your first extraction[s] then it is sensible to split your materials and do it over 2 or 3 extractions (obviously that doesn’t account for bunk materials, but at least spreads the risk of something going wrong assuming good materials).

If you had your heart set on it then don’t give up. As House said – wait until the right time and try again. If at first you don’t succeed and all that.

I did my first two days ago and if you follow the instructions you will be successful no doubt.

I don't understand where it went wrong,
I feel like it's all just a waste,
The first pull yielded a piece or 2 if crystal and the rest a gel that Isn't enough to even attempt to mess with

I feel like there's no point in continuing

You know if you gave a detailed explanation as to exactly what you did, amounts, everything its possible someone here might have an idea what happened and where to go from there. Its up to you.

If the bark did indeed contain alkaloids most likely its still somewhere and is still available to obtain.

I'm thinking about trying cybs hybrid atb salt tek with 250g of ACRB
I only have one roasting dish though, does it do any damage to let the mixture sit in between pulls?
From what I understand, your supposed to do one pull after another, but that's impossible with one dish lol

You say "The Naptha doesn't seem to want to seperate from the acidic soup very well". Is it a typo and in fact it's the basic soup ? Because you can't get dmt from acid soup with naphta.

It took me 3-4 times to finally get it down right to the point that I opened my freezer and I had a difficult time picking my jaw up off the floor from how excited I was haha. Unless you're a chemist with lots of lab experience, I feel thats about the norm is 3-5 tries for most to get comfortable enough that the results are ideal.

I had attempted Vovin and Lextek with no success until I finally tried Cyb's tek. That was the jawdropper. Just follow that 100% and you will have the success you're looking for.

A lot of the mistakes that first-timers make are easy to fix. People might be able to help you if you detail the exact steps which you took.

I think my main issue was, trying to use a jar for crystalization, and not letting the solvent seperate enough

I let the layers seperate longer between shuffles this pull, and I switched to a roasting pan, already looks much better than the last pull

It's an interesting process, but the first steps are a bit nerve racking.


As far as my process went
1kg acacia
4 acid boils at an hour 45
250g lye
1000ml Naptha

Big run for my first try but I like to just get my hands into things,
I now realize I should have tried a few smaller scale extractions to get the feel,
However, live and Learn.
I'm excited for the freeze to end

Thats way too big of an undertaking on your first try to attempt 1kg, as Im sure most would agree. Bold for sure and you would have had enough to fill a sandbox with if it worked out lol.

You really will have a higher chance of success with a way smaller quantity. 50g of bark can really yield you a very usable amount of product and give you enough for quite some time.



And yes, jars are useless. Use a pyrex dish, try to get something with corners that are easy to scrape too.

My issue is id run through a gram or 2 in no time, especially with all of my fellow psychadelic enthusiasts nearby!
Hopefully I can get another friend or 2 to do some research with me, everyone wants the experience, few wanna help!

I had problems on my first extractions because my bark didn't contain any DMT, had to find a different source.

The first time I tried to extract DMT, I failed...I was extremely lazy...then I discovered the Lazyman's tek...it turned out to be not quite so lazy as it sounds, and though I did produce some DMT, I was unable to successfully recover the crystals from the solvent without them melting which was extremely heartbreaking. I finally switched over to the Q21Q21 dry lime tek, and realized that was the way to go for me. It's easy, safe and quick with a big yield, and after a handful of trials with getting down how to not have your crystals melt before your eyes, I finally could reliably extract DMT. It sure was no easy road, but it's definitely worth it.

My last pull yielded .8 of brownish goo,
I gave it a try, it's definitely dmt

Not the best but I believe I am learning
Excited for the next pull
