Hello Folks I mainly joined this forum to discuss salvia. Perhaps one day I might journey with DMT, but I am in no rush. I consider myself a Salvianaut, as I love to explore the salvia space and use it as a tool to improve my life. I have had a handful of very intense breakthrough experiences and probably around a hundred mild experiences. Like many people, I consider both to be important. I have been browsing this site for quite some time, and I appreciate the insight and intelligence of the people on this forum. I hope to learn more about the salvia experience and to use it as a teacher in my life. I am very interested in the therapeutical nature of this plant. I find it very useful for meditating, working out a problem, or lifting my spirits. I could be in a very depressive state, and salvia changes my thoughts making them playful, exciting, and funny. I look forward to sharing my knowledge, and learning from the experienced members on this forum. All Posts by Mandelbulb are fabricated stories for entertainment purposes only.

Do you mind going into a little bit more detail on the specific ways that salvia has helped you in your life? I would be very interested to hear more! Welcome to the DMT Nexus, Mandelbulb! There are some people on the forum who are very knowledgeable regarding DMT (obviously), salvia, other psychedelics, and so much more.

Sure. I first used salvia about seven years ago. My first experience was strong but very familiar. I only remember laughing hysterically during the trip, and then experiencing a very positive after glow. Then about three years ago I became interested in salvia again. I used it with friends a few times. Some of them broke through, but many of them didn't or found the effects too weird. Even though I had less recall ability on those early trips, I always had this sense that something great had just happened. I started to feel comfortable enough to use salvia on my own. I feel like the therapeutic aspect of salvia really shines through when you take it alone. It is as if salvia makes small worries and even large ones very easy to handle. During the after glow phase of a trip I often start to clean my house. If I have been feeling depressed, salvia will help reveal the roots of that depression and make it more realistic to handle. Salvia helps me to see myself and my environment in a different light. It uncovers some unconscious layers and allows them to be more rational in my mind rather than emotional. Welcome! I share your perspective on solo trips, my best therapy comes from mushrooms at 3 am peaking while meditating alone. Thank you for sharing your experiences here- At the center of this existence, it is everything and nothing, all of us and each of us and none of us. My light is now lit, and it cannot be extinguished.

Welcome! I look forward to hearing more of your salvia insights and teachings and also await the day you try DMT and can give your comparison. A man of knowledge lives by acting, not by thinking about acting.

Hello fellow salvian! Your presence on the role of this sacred plant will open up a lot more information. SWIM plans on utilizing salvia in the near future. Perhaps you can provide some insight and techniques regarding its use, realms, power and benefits. No rush, of course. 'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'
Skip the manual, now, where's the master switch?
We are interstellar stardust, the re-dox co-factors of existence. Serve the sacred laws of the universe before your time comes to an end. Oh yes, you shall be rewarded.

Good to see another fellow salvianaut on the Nexus I also use it in a therapeutic context on a regular basis. I've used it for about seven years and found it to be invaluable for meditation and self-reflection. It has a very strong antidepressant effect for me and has helped me overcome years of untreatable depression.

Welcome to the nexus! I tried salvia one time. I was young and unprepared. I suppose one could consider it a breakthrough, but I have no other experiences for reference. I was no where in this reality that we experience today. Pretty heavy stuffs - Scared me pretty bad. I have had the strong feeling, lately, that it is time to revisit this realm and finished some unfinished business. Being a little wiser, and a lot more patient, I think it will work out nicely. I would really like to grow my own, do my own extract, and finish what was started. We'll see. It's been proving rather difficult to find seeds or clippings. Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Thank you all. Happy to be here! Metanoia, I agree with you on the antidepressant effects of salvia. Recently I went to a psychologist for work related stress. Although I left sessions feeling better, salvia seemed way more effective for working out my issues and leaving me with clarity. Acacia, yeah breakthrough experiences can be frightening. I feel like I have only had one "true breakthrough". Most of the time I take lighter doses in which I am still aware of this reality. I have had several experiences where I was not aware I had taken salvia. I experienced the layers and peeling effects and sense that I had gone to another realm. However, only one trip left me with the feeling that there was actually another reality out there. During that trip I didn't think I would come back. That was the only experience that scared me, but I also consider it very important. The rest have always been enjoyable. The effects of salvia are very individual. I can't really say that I use any specific techniques. What has worked for me, has not worked for some of my friends. I use extracts, but in the future I would like to get my own plant and experiment more with quidding. All Posts by Mandelbulb are fabricated stories for entertainment purposes only.

The one experience was like no other thing I had ever been dealt. I'm sure lack of mental preperation contributed. When I tried it, I had been completely clean of all substances for about a year. I was on probation and had no intentions of going back to jail - it was easier to play by their rules and be free then fight them. My buddies came over and I watched their various experiences. Only one seemed to get heavy, but he was done with it quickly. Me? Nope. I was the "lucky" winner who was sent over and beyond. I remember running down a hallway that appeared to have no end. There were ancient looking corinthian columns that lined the hallways. They began to crumble and fall as I ran past. Everything behind me was crumbling and falling as I ran forwards. The ground was seperating, pulling everything in. Run, run, run from the crumbling past. Anxiety was at a high. Where was the end of this hallway? I ran for what felt like forever, and just before I thought I would reach the end, columns began tumbling in front of me. I knew it was my end. The ground was going to fall beneath me, or the columns would crush me. Certain death. I was wrong. I tripped over one of the falling columns and began floating. I was no longer running, just floating, floating, floating to an endless end.... When I came back to this reality, I was in a different room than I had been when starting - and all of my friends looked concerned. I felt really shaken up. They said that the whole time, I was running through my house with my eyes closed going in and out of every single room. Just running. That was about 8 years ago. In my dreams, it's been suggested that is time to return and clean up. Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

wesker, yes please post your trip. Looking forward to hearing how it goes. Acacia, that is quite a crazy experience. I think some people have more of a tendency to move around on salvia, which is quite scary if there is not a sober sitter present. I often wave my arms at the start of the experience, because it kinda feels like reality and the movement of my body is merging with what is happening in my mind. If that makes any sense. If you do return to salvia land, I recommend that you do so in a gentle way (low extract or chewing leaves). Peoples experiences are often very similar despite long periods away from the plant. My first experience seven years ago was a lot like the experiences I have today. The only difference being that I have better recall ability during my trips, and I have a vague idea of what is going to happen now.
