I used to draw and paint a lot, but I was always a little self conscious of my abilities as an artist and plagued by an almost crippling drive for perfection. And now that my current choice of lifestyle doesn't force me to draw, I don't get around to drawing much anymore. This is more of an excuse than the truth though. I could be drawing right now, but I'm not.

The only time I really draw anymore is when tripping or coming down from a trip. Most of the drawings that I've done while tripping were done on the come down or afterglow of high doses of DXM. But to be honest, the style of these drawings don't seem much different than the style of my sober doodles.

There's a thread in Music/Art/Literature called "Art done while tripping":

Wow, alot of great artwork here. I just don't see myself being able to draw on DMT but I sing when I come out of it and shrooming with the guitar ain't bad either. Can't draw like that but it's clear tripping fuels creative efforts to me.

Decided to get a little post count going because I feelt compeled to warn about a seller I had an unpleasant interaction with and had to give a warning to the community that helped me extract light.

And weed is just a daily fact of my life as a musician and I can really trip on just pot if I am in the right state and I hear artist do the same (Guptas weed documentary had an artist talkingabout it).

The walls in my room at my moms house were covered with stuff I painted with blackloght paint while on DXM years ago when I used to do that stuff. Now days I usually try drawing things I saw while tripping awhile coming down or soon after. I've tried tracing patterns on paper while I'm seeing them, but they have a tendency to move as soon as I try to trace them down. My girlfriend likes taking small doses of ayahuasca specifically to make art.

Holy S word. That's a good idea. Do you still have to watch your diet? Does she still purge??

Omfg 5hrs of being a DMT artist would be... Amazing.
Though... Before I break through its sort of like a mushroom trip. I wonder.

I know exactly what you mean! My favorite artist, H. R. Giger, said something along the lines of: "An artist never finishes a piece, he abandons it at an acceptable point."
* Everything I write is made up tripe: whispers of wind coming off the blades in my face for I am a fictional man with a floor fan for a brain pan.

Say something to my face, I have no choice, but to replace my reply, with your Darth Vader voice!

TONS of artists and musicians use pot to create.
Lady Gaga openly admitted it several times. She said she made a whole album on it I think.

I can trip on weed too. Especially if its really dark in the room. I can open eye trip on it.

topherfoster: Love your drawings, some of them made me giggle a lot, so funny and creative. Keep us updated! Drawing on the influence on mushroom is a big passion for me as well, and It's a good way to meditate into the present I think. It's amazing what you can create with a pencil Big grin

This post is beyond fantastic, many nice drawings guys, inspirational, true artists within Rolling eyes

Guess I have to share some of my own drawings under the influence as well then.

as topherfoster mentioned, he couldn't draw any more because the mushroom kicked in big time, and had to lay down. That's what happened here, I just needed to close my eyes and lay down and ride it out..

This is two paintings I made after a trip I had a long time ago

I named this painting "coming out of the madness". It's when I realized that I had lived my life in an illusion.

i love to draw when im tripping, especially with oil pastels. I enjoy that the only purpose of art is expression IMHO, its not to look beautiful, or perfect to me, but to express. Its a great vent.In my earlier experiences when my mind would run off on its own, i would draw to bring my mind back into line and calm it.
I died a mineral, and became a plant. I died a plant and rose an animal. I died an animal and I became human. Then why fear disappearance through death? Next time I shall die, Bring forth wings and feathers like angels; After that, soaring higher than angels-- What you cannot imagine, I shall be that.

Any speakings written are the purely fictional ramblings of an illiterate grande taco, and are false in the face of truth when judged by the all-father. They are in no way real.

Love your drawing style! Beautiful work. I tossed you a vote for full membership, we need more of your art.
Fear, belief, love phenomena that determined the course of our lives. These forces begin long before we are born and continue after we perish. We cross and recross our old paths like figure skaters; our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime and every kindness, we birth our future.

Ahh..this is one of my favorite things to do, really.
But I personally find that mushrooms get me so concerned with details in a drawing, that the drawing doesn't develop beyond a tiny area.
I am new to the world of DMT, so I have not really had the chance to draw on it yet. I imagine that I would need to puff on some mellow changa or something, to be able to draw on it.

These days the best combination for drawing is certainly weed and kratom. I find that the weed gives me a lot of great ideas, and often CEV will encourage me to try drawing from angles that I never consider sober. The kratom is useful in terms of keeping me fixated with the drawing process. Weed alone is nice for drawing, but I often find that I want to do other things while I'm still high.

Oh, and drawing in the midst of a weed/HBWR adventure certainly makes for a fond memory. I think that I like to write more when I'm traveling with HBWR, as it makes me extremely analytical.

I started to draw this while under the influence, and finished it a little while ago while sober..
Also, please don't spread it around as I have some connections to the "art world," and don't want them knowledgeable about my private life/activities. Thanks;o)
