so i stained a counter with harmala juice (alkaloid-free basified tea).

so far i have tried using vinegar, isopropyl, dish soap, and sodium carbonate (obviously not at the same time as vinegar) to get it out, all to no avail.

do you guys have some advice or relevant chemistry knowledge?

or should i just forget about it and enjoy the pretty colors?

I know that feel. I have used bleach (let sit an hour) with some success, but this doesn't always work either.

i wonder how peroxide would work...

I would try mixing in baking soda with peroxide and/or bleach. I would imagine that could clean anything. Also, have you tried lemon juice? Or commercial strength kitchen cleaner?

those yellow stains are so annoying , i found nothing really works in the short term, but consistent cleaning with Clorox wipes or other cleaners works in the long term.

i've had really great results with tough stains using oxy clean from the 99cent store. i've tried peroxide, baking soda, vinegar etc...
