Thanks for the report, Global. I remember reading through.Erowid 5meo trip reports where someone described it as bring the Power, with N,N being the Glory (as in AGLA-thou art the power and the glory forever, Amen-a qabbalistic axiom), and that is apt to me.

My re-introduction to psychs asset a25 year hiatus was with 5-meo. I've written about it here before; it was the life-changing experience that I refer to often. I died and was put back into a new body, with a new mind. I had foolishly injected a un weighed piece of fumarate about the size of a grain of rice IV into a vein in my calf. After 30 seconds when no effects came on, I was thinking,"great, I just IVed.God knows what",.when I looked down at a little ceramic skull I was holding and felt it move in my hand as it looked all around. I stood up and then my vision was totem by a golden lightning bolt. I fell on my face and felt my heart slow to a stop. All the breath flowed from my body and was perceived as water soaking into the ground in an expanding puddle. From there, it was a classic NDE, the tunnel of light,etc. Except that there was no entity, just pure Samadhi, the void, pure consciousness. I felt the mind of God within me, except there was no me.

Before I left my body, and there was still a "me"to be concerned about, I thought of the tragedy of my death, which I was positive was what was happening. I thought of my roommate discovering my body and how tragic it would be. But then I was gone and shown that time is a construct, she is already dead, has not yet been born and I encountered her soul there as well. It put me at ease.

Fully immersed in the void, ready to let go,a voice came into my head that told me 'Remember!". With that, loo recalled my body and air entered my lungs in a giant gasp. Then I purged. Not vomit, but a gigantic boa made out of smoke that began to dissolve as it left my body. The evil my soul had accumulated while here on this rock.

Anyway, there's a LOT more too this, but this thread is not about me. Global, and anyone who had experience with this molecule, yes roc is correct, or at least I agree with him. An encounter with this stuff is the singular most powerful experience one can have, short of actually dying,ime.

Null, thank you as well for your poignant description of your 5 MEO NDE. It was a bit close to home. I will refrain from scolding you about IVing an unweighed amount of a new substance. I am sure you won't be doing that again. Heheheh.

For the reasons you spoke of, I think 5 MEO can make an excellent admixture ingredient for advanced Ayahuasca brews. There might be a ratio in a pharma blend that can capture that power and glory together. I am thinking that even a 10:1 ratio might be ideal for my taste. Just enough to infuse the proceedings with some added muscle and gravitas.

I suppose, in the end, the void samadhi stuff is reachable in easier and less terrifying ways. Deep meditation can evoke that kind of immersion into the power of the cosmic mind stuff...

The thing I love about NN, though, is its unique ability to invoke useful, conscious interaction with entities reliably and without scaring you half to death. 5 MEO never seems to take me to fantastic realms, or introduce me to higher orders of beings. It simply shreds the illusion and makes you realize that it would be very easy to never repair it.

I guess I will shut up already. Those of you who know what I am yammering about already know.

Great report and interesting viewpoints. I definitely think 5-MeO is underappreciated and underexplored and I'm kinda surprised it doesn't have more of a following than it seems to have. As with all these substances, individual responses seem to vary markedly. 5-MeO, for me, is so much warmer, more intoxicating, more welcoming and more blissful and euphoric than N,N. Like different league, and consistently so from every time I have used it. N,N for me, (at least smoked pure, sans MAOI) is dependably beautiful but I feel clear headed, and euphoria isn't really part of my experiences when used this way, more often the experience has a certain coldness, if not at other times feeling outright menacing. 5-MeO doesn't give me the fear or any anxiety prior to smoking...N,N does. While N,N has the amazing visual component, 5-MeO is more orientated towards feeling and sensation, it is a lot more physical in the body than N,N. A great way of pressing the reset button as some have said. Smoking it is quite fleeting though and I am very interested in the potentials of sublingual use to draw out that space a little more. Important to state that due to the much greater potency of 5-MeO compared to N,N a highly accurate scale for dosing is essential, there are some real horror stories and potential health/medical issue orientated reports from people who have done too much in one go.

I recently popped my cherry on 5-meo as well and just as reports of dmt exper. do the actual experience you get no justice, 5-meo is utterly stupifying to even consider trying to explain 2 mg had me feelign just a weird but manageable high, 4-6 mg smoked, and I was walking around my house thinking I was dying, but perfectly accepting of this fact and willing to go with it, and just thinking of the positive things I've done in my life, and the negative and hoping for the best in the afterlife, was in no way a bad experience, unnerving at first yet, but eventually I settled into it, as said and had no further fear of death. But its WAY ore psychadelic and less visual than DMT where as DMT is colorful and can be fun, but still psychedelic. We should be invited into some special club of the 5-meo users now. Its quite an interesting and unique ride. I debate if I will do any more than 6 mg vaped again as it was so unnerving at first. but at the same time I do want to experience a full breakthrough on it someday.




^^^ REGARDING THE ABOVE ^^^ I've heard people say its safe to mix harmalas with meo, but I've also heard the exact opposite, saying it not only is mentally to strong, and possibly physically debilitating, but could cause some issues, due to the way the chemicals react... so do more research into MAOI and 5-meo on your own before deciding if that route is worth it to you, as said the experience reports vary from people claiming it was simply earth shattering and saved the alot of the meo by intensifying, but also I've heard the opposite that it turned what was once a pleasent and great experience into a nightmare they'd never want to even try again let alone try 5-meo ALONE again. because of either mental or physical issues, someexperiences on the mix mentioned STRONG vasoconstriction. as well as over rapid heart beat, hyperthermia and other very bad things. so reasearch it.
