My very first extraction of ACRB (actually tree bark from a fallen tree) has been completed and I have some naptha in the freezer now.

Tomorrow morning i'll hopefully have some crystals.

I was wondering how I should prepare for a first DMT experience? VERY novice in psychedilics, grew shrooms a couple times and did those for a nice mild trip 2x only.

Thats it.

I was wondering what kind of attitude/mindset I should have as I am catapulted off into hyperspace for the first time? I have read many reports so I in a way know what to expect, but of course this isn't the kind of stuff you just "read" and know whats going to happen.

I sustainably sourced my tree bark, hopefully to win over the plant spriits and make my trip more welcoming/enjoyable/enlightening.

I feel this is a huge moment in my life, one of the most important experiences of my life and I am keeping this in mind before I take the plunge. I have the utmost respect for this "drug".

I will meditate before I smoke the stuff, anything else I should do besides get myself totally relaxed? (besides all the obvious stuff like comfortable place/sitter/no distractions etc etc)

Remember this is my first experience with this kind of thing, I am actually a bit scared in some ways, I have a feeling the evil little elves/gnomes won't leave me alone and take advantage of my noviceness.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

hello Lukem5,

to be honest theres not much you can do other than the things you have suggested, as long as set/setting are sorted then all you need to do is summon up the required bottle and dive in.

1 thing I would do is to remove your socks, they will be getting severely blown off and may put holes in your ceilingVery happy .

happy travelsThumbs up

it's all in your mind, but what's your mind???

Don't bring any expectations of evil gnomes. Who the hell came up the that notion anyways? Mckenna?

In my opinion, the worst thing you can do is bring expectations to the table. I find that if I go in with a blank, humble slate, I get more out of it. No gnome nonsense. Sorry, gnome lovers. Never seen em, doubt I ever will.

Love that yoda picture. Ha personally I would say not to go in trying to find anything. Because you can't find anything but you are shown instead. Since it's your first time just focus on love and happiness and all shall be good. For me love seems to have a lot of power in this world as well in hyperspace. Also I would say don't have like a sweatshirt on or something not loose, light, and comfortable.
Happy travels

My best suggestion is to take it slow at first. Don't be in a hurry for the " breakthrough"
, It comes in time, its much better to spend time getting used to the feelings of the stuff.
Think of it like learning a new instrument. Reading other peoples experiences is informative
but nothing can prepare you for the real thing it will be weirder and more amazing than you could ever imagine.
Never underestimate the power of it. also try to go into it with no expectations, take it as it comes. Deep breath through the tough spots and remember you will always come back.
Try not to apply human contructs like good evil and religious themes. Think of it like exploring a new weird landscape, keep it simple dont judge , try to witness.
The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

lol adam said it best. Or meme'd it best as kids these days would probably say. Theres really nothing you can do to prepare...besides going for a breakthrough on salvia, which I don't whole heartedly recommend. What I do recommend is meditation spiritual practices that suit you, for example i've found it incredibly soothing to the rest of my day when I wake up an hour before sun rise, find a random but beutiful zen garden song on youtube and then sip green tea while I stare at my garden and watch the photons from that giant nuclear reaction in the sky illuminate the world around me. But whatever suits you. Also i've found that being physically fit and healthy is greatly beneficial. My first big dose left me realizing how weak I was, though i'm at a healthy weight and eating right I wasn't excercising at this time. I've found excercise, eating right, and spiritually soothing practices are a good place to start.

After that.....start looking at psychedelic art. And remember the phrase...this too shal pass if you get a little queezy on the ride haha Thumbs up

And as usual...my thoughts coincide with what Felnik said.

I believe your on a good approach. Keep a positive mind set, meditate prior or what ever you do to relax and reach a peaceful state.

With your limited experience I could see why you might be nervous. If you have an experienced friend I would ask them to be present. I would also do as mentioned go in with no any expectations. Let your experience be organic so to speak.

Although my experience with dmt is limited, its not with other chems. This is why I rarely go in detail of an experience of trips or meditation experiences with people. I tell them general feeling, and what to expect as far as heart rates and maybe sounds. But I don't want to impose my trip/journey on them, or have them feel like something was wrong because they didn't feel or see x

peace

Don't be in the same place as someone who would freak out if they discovered you are under the influence.

Bring a vomit bucket (just in case).

If you use music, have a remote control to make changing the music easier.

I like to sip water.

This is an important advice, but very difficult to apply. How can you not expect something when you read so much about it? This was one of my bigger problem, because what happened to me on DMT was so different of what my friends told me of their trips, and of what I read.

But try to just accept what happen, it can't harm you, just go with it.

Meditating, wearing large clothes and a have a blanket on your shoulders is good.

My old man used to tell me: "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst, expect nothing." I guess it has stuck with me throughout my life, and I apply it to situations where I don't have certain confidence in the outcome.

When I first started breaking through, I would need to be laying or seated inside with a warm jacket or blanket near by. It was really intense and I was still learning the works of the medicine. Now, I prefer standing or sitting Indian style, outside.

That is the best pre trip advice I have seen in some time! Really great mindset.

All I can say is it is never the same from person to person or trip to trip, so just be happy, comfortable in your skin, and let go.
At the center of this existence, it is everything and nothing, all of us and each of us and none of us. My light is now lit, and it cannot be extinguished.
