I like the idea of an introductory essay, so I'll riff a little:

Even if you ignore the experience itself for just a moment, psychedelics have so much to offer! Look at the thriving communities that spring up around them, both in the real world and the virtual. Look at the brilliant music, crafts, and works of art that are found wherever those communities are found. Look at the unique style that the people carry with them.

Psychedelics have folklore, heroes, stories, myths, danger, misinformation, and intrigue.

I hold them dear because of the pattern and texture that they add to the fabric of my life.

Indeed, the psychedelic culture is a beautiful and interesting thing. It's why even during long periods of abstinence I feel more drawn to this forum, than any other.
