I see that I forgot to mention that I gave up on using my thumb for placing beads fairly quickly.

My tools have been two large sewing needles.
One blunt and one sharp.

The blunt one is tapped once or twice in the bees wax on the inside of the bowl to make it sticky and then inserted into a
bead. Since it is blunt it won't poke trough and this is used to attach new beads.

The sharp one is for pulling out misplaced beads or for changing the pattern.

Simply gorgeous!

Seeing this has enriched my life - thank you and well done for finishing in the face of (minor) adversity/procrastination!

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
