So I got to thinking... What if one were to make a changa blend using harmala freebase and DMT on some passionflower, damiana, and blue lotus?
Okay, easy enough idea, but take it a step further and dissolve some hash oil, say like a half gram (i.e. a lot) into the IPA as well and let that lovely goo get all over your smoking blend!

Does this sound like it might be a good idea? I figured I would ping that idea off of some more seasoned DMT veterans, because I finally had a decent breakthrough smoking a bit of jungle mixed in with a little bud and vaporised in a glass bowl. It was perfect. I had an anima/animus Jungian experience which was quite lovely. The cannabis seems to slow the trip down quite efficiently so it is more enjoyable.

So do you think adding changa to the equation sounds like a good idea?

This is my rationale based on experience reports. I wanted to add some calea zacatechichi to the blend but didn't have the extra money for a 20 dollar ounce of the herb. Anyway:

-Mix together 3 grams total of the three herbs then,
-Dissolve 1.5 grams freebase DMT with 1 gram freebase harmine/aline to 99% or lab grade in 50 mL isopropyl or ethyl alcohol with 0.5 grams of near-pure hash oil refined from BHO, and mix homogeneously and pour into a separate 100 mL beaker containing the pre-mixed, finely (1-4mm crushing size) of your pre-mixed solution.
-Add 0.5 mL of organic peppermint distillates (essential oils) when the alcohol has dissoved to the point where the leaf is only barely submerged and moist and mix well.
-Spread out on a plate and place on a heating pad or in a heat bath at about 40*C until the mixture is fully dry, making sure to agitate often to ensure that the herb is fully decarboxylated and dried as the last of the IPA evaporates.
REMEMBER NOT TO EXPOSE ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL TO OPEN FLAME OR VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES OVER 60*C.
-Store and consume!

Thoughts? Conscious discussion?

The answer to this question is purely based on personal preference. Does it sound like a good idea to you? Then try it, it might be a good idea. Personally I never combine cannabis with DMT, for a number of reasons. Others may feel completely different, and perhaps there are even some who do not appreciate one without the other to any significant degree.

In short: find what works for you and smoalk away, my friend. Smile

Is the hash oil soluble in alcohol? That could affect the doability of this experiment of yours. As Entheogenerator said, it's a matter of personal preference. For myself personally, being the huge stoner I am, I always found it difficult to smoke DMT without being high simply cause there were so few parts of the day where I wasn't high. Every day started with a wake and bake, and so on from there, so it was difficult to smoke DMT without cannabis in the system. However, having said that, I find it more ideal to be done separately, and I wouldn't personally want to purposely boost the THC in my system along with DMT.

For me, a hit of good hash oil is often like a punch in the brain. It hits so fast and often makes me feel frightened for a few seconds. I'd personally never try that mix, but I've never been 100% comfortable with cannabis. It always makes me a little bit paranoid at some point. I would prefer to keep that feeling out of my dmt trips. A lot of people say that cannabis "blurs" the effects of dmt. I've tried tiny amounts with cannabis, around 5mg, and that was nice, but a full on trip might be something very different.

Try making a small batch and see if you like it.

I like vaping small amounts of cannabis with aya, but don't bother with DMT (have not made changa to date). I'm a near-daily cannabis user, and have been for a few years, but overindulging or not taking days off makes me feel forgetful, makes me forget my dreams, and can sometimes make me feel paranoid if I'm exhausted and have a lot on my mind. Using cannabis with aya helps me let go and trance a little easier though. Everybody is a little different, and cannabis doesn't mix with everyone. Lorenzo Hagerty on the JRE podcast said from what he could tell, about 25% of the psychedelic community doesn't like cannabis because they don't get along well with it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I am not entirely sure that IPA will sufficiently dissolve THC oil. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't, but I can't think of everything.

IPA should work for hash oil.

I have infused hash oil on to tobacco using ISO or acetone (don't use naphtha) and that works a treat. I see no reason it would not work for changa. The THC may protect the DMT a bit with its higher vaporisation temp.

Experiment away :-)

IPA definitely works, cant beat a bit of cbd with your spice to help you float through hyperspace! Enjoy!

why bother infusing the hash oil?

if you feel the mood, just drip a couple drops of hash oil onto your bowl of changa before you toalk.

imo

I don't even bother with the changa part and just chuck the bits on separately in whatever ratio I feel like :-) just put them on top of the ceramic filter on my GVG and I'm good to go. Sometimes I put them all in a big reefer together this can be pretty nuts in itself.

Do however sometimes infuse oil on to tobacco as oil is a pain to make joints with if you are out and about.

i find infusion (at least of dmt, the harmalas and thc wouldn't need it) into herb seems to have an insulatory effect, that makes dosing fairly foolproof.

i don't do so well with the sandwich method (well i do, but it can be hit and miss), and a couple drops of ipa do the trick, and evap in a few hours. so its not hard to have a batch at the ready.

but i noticed when hash oil gets exposed to heat it gets so [whatever the antonym of viscous is] that it permeates the herb and flows to the bottom anyways (Both on cane blossom and changa), so i don't see how infusion would change anything.

and that way you can directly add as much or as little oil as you want.

i might try what you do with harmalas, just infusing dmt into herb, and sprinkling harmala extract in different ratios.

that sounds quite enjoyable, actually.

I never had much luck with the sandwich use the GVG like a health stone pipe which is fairly foolproof. I don't mix the harmala with the DMT as I like to vary the ratio dependent on my mood and what kinda effect I am after.

Just infusing the spice then sprinkling harmala on top would be a good laugh I think.
