It seems strange for me to introduce myself, as I am so new to this whole realm of experience, and there are many here who have so much more to say than me, and in general I'm the sort who prefers to listen than to talk. I don't have a whole lot of experience with psychedelics; I had my first trip about 1.5 months ago, and my second last night (both times on aprox. 200 ug of LSD). These forays have been incredibly positive and encouraging, however I'm in a position in my life where I don't have any people to guide me forward. Most of my friends and relations are early 30's businessmen types, and while my wife is supportive of my personal explorations, she is not, herself, interested in diving into anything more than a relaxing bowl of cannabis from time to time. So here I am, doing what I do and reading as much as I possibly can, and hopefully I can glean wisdom from you who have traveled the path on which I'm starting, and with the hope that some day someone who goes after me will benefit from my experiences as I benefit from yours.

Welcome to the Nexus. Sounds to me like you are in the right place. Read, Read, Read. You will find more information than you'll know what to do with. Luckily, The Nexus is a real community. It's so much more than just a forum. You'll probably find just as much inspiration as you will information. Don't feel bad about your limited experience with psychedelics. A lot of people over do it when they are young and don't get as much out of their psychedelic exploration as they would if they were to take things slowly and respectfully. Take your time. Learn, and listen to your body and mind. If you use discretion and take time in between experiences to integrate, you'll find yourself much richer than if you were to dive in recklessly.

You and I are sort of in the same boat as far as limited access to people who are interested in psychedelic exploration. I know a few people who take psychedelics and out of those, there are only a couple that I would consider tripping with. I'm in my mid 40's now and I'm extremely cautious about set and setting. My wife is planning on taking her first dmt trip in a couple days. She has good reasons and intentions. Your wife may eventually join you, or she may not. One thing I've found (and this might sound silly) is that the substances and the people will find you when it's time.

Are you planning on trying dmt? If so, definitely check out the wiki. Find an extraction tek that appeals to you and if you choose to, do an extraction. Obtain all of the right gear for whichever route of administration you choose and take your time. Hyperspace is waiting patiently for you.

I really appreciate the warm welcome and response. I am looking forward to trying dmt when the time is right, and while I don't know, now, when that will be, I'm sure that I will know when it is. It's the same way for my wife. She knows herself, and I have more than enough trust and respect for her to let her make her own choices. I hope to share a trip with her someday, but if not I won't be disappointed. I'd rather her never do it than do it when she isn't ready.

For now I'm just trying be slow and methodical. I naturally am a reader and researcher, so when I found this place I felt immediately that I'd found a diamond.

If you attached a pic to this post, no I can't see it;however, I do think I was able to see pics others had attached in other threads before.

i just joined today and im at risk of making a pest of myself with these questions. for some reason im not able to view the pictures...! i share your excitement in finding this community however it feels like im missing something because in fact i am, maybe itll work itself out.
