Hi there,SWIM have some questions on rue seeds.Are the whole seeds still eff as a MAOI for ayahuasca or do SWIM have to crush them up??

Also If SWIM have to crush them can SWIM just hammer them and swallow whole without boiling them?

SWIM needs to know how to prepare the seeds so they can be a MAOI for aya.

Why shouldnt you eat it raw? I cannot think of any reason other then taste...

Lightly toast them in a pan and grid, or crush, before brewing. The taste is OK if you like coffee. Even goes with a bit of milk.

Eating raw whole seeds is lazy at best and probably wasteful as far as absorption of alkaloids goes. Also, you're more likely to feel nausea/stomach pain through swallowing the seeds.

IMO, just brew them like coffee. Try looking at your cup of brew under a UV light (blacklight) if you have one... very amusing (although I'm very easily entertained).

Great tip i might try it one day, just to try how it taste, but the smell and taste of not roasted rue, is not doable for me.

But harmala extractions are really fun and give a great results without the taste.
