It seems the spice has thrown a bit of a tantrum on me. About ten minutes ago, I had quite a heavy experience where it felt like the DMT intelligence was screaming, rushing and throwing all kinds of inter-dimensional things at me. Over the past while I've developed quite a comfortability with DMT, and have become rather good at accepting whatever it has presented to me. So I basically sat there, eyes open, witnessing this absolute insanity happening in front me, calmly waiting for it to settle down. I felt like a parent rolling their eyes waiting for their child to stop screaming and throwing things. At one point I even said "are ya done yet?" Entities popping up & scrambling away, objects around me shifting and transforming rapidly, it had such a sense of insanity to it. Completely profound, but I couldn't help but think "c'mon now, I know you're better than this" It was definitely up there as far as intensity goes, I've only had a handful of experiences this powerful and reality warping, but I felt no threat despite the fact that this intelligence was completely freaking out on me. I feel that if someone inexperienced had this happen to them (or if I wasn't experienced), they would be absolutely losing their mind, thinking they were going crazy, screaming for help etc. Im grateful for my ability to maintain composure. The dose was 60mg of 1:1 10x caapi Changa smoked in two hits. I'm sure others have had similar experiences, care to discuss it a bit with me?

Sounds like the 'flash' to me, assumedly its not usually that hectic for you? Seems you metabolised it rapidly this time. What were you doing beforehand?

Actually most the time it's this crazy, and rapidly transforming. The last breakthrough I had was equally as hectic, but had a much more loving embrace to it. The beings would smile and be playful amongst the ever-changing psychedelic landscape. I was actually just relaxing beforehand, I meditated briefly before I launched as per usual. Once the carrier wave began to hit, there was a sharp sense that something was wrong though.
This 'off' feeling has happened 2 times before, the first times they really concerned me, but this time was like "Here we go with THIS again".

That "off" feeling could be any number of things. Hard to tell from just words alone. The hectic nature of the experience sounds appropriate though. Sometimes it can take place at what seems like 3x fast-forward where things rapidly snap into places with an incredible intensity hanging in the air, etc...Now that I think of it, it's probably somewhat akin to the kind of perception that an insect must have. We should only be so lucky to experience reality on the kind of time scale that we do! "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

Sounds like one if those wacked out loops . It's Like a program that plays out . Like something prerecorded. It used to scare me ,now I actually try to avoid it . Sometimes it's funny and completely absurd. Lately when that happens it feels like I've made an error in my Technique . Like burning the spice or not paying close attention. This sounds relatively benign compared to some of my "tantrum" experiences. On at least two memorable occasions it felt as though the spice was angry somehow. My first trip of this sort was a well prepped one, the entities came in screaming loudly piercing my body, it was like they were imaging me or something. It was highly uncomfortable I felt like I had to hold my being from flying apart for about 5 minutes, then it ended abruptly.
On my second trip of the same type I had loaded some goo that I thought was a small dose, this I immediately knew to be false. Next thing I know its like some angry entity is going inside my organs, not like the usual hyperspace surgeon type thing but like some angry entity. I still don't know what was being done, but was sure happy when it was over.
Ability to maintain composure is vital in trips like these, just having faith that it will soon be over.
I now know that whenever I dose higher then 35mg which was the likely dose, i need to be prepared for anything to happen. Although at 25 mg I can still breakthrough and have a fullblown experience the level of intensity seems turned down a few notches at level that feels right. Its like listening to music, when you listen to the volume to high you get all sort of dissonant vibrations. Best to set the volume to a comfortable level.

Yep, been there. I think it's just part of the complexity of our subconscious projections, as a dream might seem pointless or fulfilling. Sometimes it's dangerously close to divine, other times it's cherry tomatoes in the face for 5 minutes. It gives pre-flight jitters validity at least. Art Van D'lay wrote:Smoalk. It. And. See.

Like I have said I feel dmt is an intligence or consciousness and has its bad days. I think you handled it perfectly exactly what I do in that situation. I often find that when I vaporize more than 35 mg this tends to happen. You do get to a point where bad ones can really no longer affect you except for one way. When they come up so suddenly and so massively catch you offguard. You can be so caught up in the experience you don't really have time to go to your countermeasures of non-reaction. I love DMT a tremendous respect for DMT but I don't always need to take her shit. I am not gonna lie, shits gonna get weird!Troubles Breaking Through? Click here. Global - It did have a 3x fast forward kind of feel. Really fast paced, sharp, hectic psychedelia. That's a curious thought about the time perception of smaller organisms. I actually recently read an article talking about that very concept. Felnik - It did have a pre-recorded feel as well. I felt very much like an observer rather than part of the experience. Just had to let it play out until it ran out of film. Most of my experiences have felt like that actually. There never seems to be a focus on me being there, I'm just an observer of their realm. It can definitely be scary, I've felt the fear the first couple times this happened. There was a second where I felt this fear start to take hold again, but then quickly gathered myself and knew what was happening. Adam - Oh I'm sure I got off fairly easy. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it would've been like had I taken a higher dose. I've never really gone past 30-40mg, but for me it feels pretty maxed out (even though I know it's not). Absolutely, composure is key. I just kind of blanked myself out and just watched the madness without too much emotion. Just waiting and thought "they'll calm themselves down soon enough". Since there was harmala present as well I had the mis-pleasure of sticking around a bit longer to watch the madness Orion - I definitely agree. I've had moments with the spice where I've felt absolutely divine, perfect and hugely significant. I could feel my spirit ignite into metaphysical flame and my third eye blasted open.... and then there's times like this where it's just seemingly pointless (but still profound) 4D craziness running around in every direction. OM - I think it was your post that really opened my eyes to the concept of the DMT "intelligence" actually. It's helped me realize that these "mood swings" can happen, and I think that's what helped me get through the trip calmly and collected. It was pretty unpleasant, but I take solace in the fact that I now know that I AM able to handle these things with (relative) ease. Exactly. Gotta be able to stand up strong for yourself, while still bowing in respect at the same time Thanks for the feedback guys, it's nice to be able to analyze this with some input from those that have been there as well!

Last night I had DMT throw a tantrum at me for the first time, SHE was incredibly angry and throwing everything she had at me, she tried to turn the usual beautiful closed eyes visuals into something twisted and grotesque but I realized that she was just having a very bad tantrum and ignored her attempts to scare me I told her telepathically that I was aware that I'm eternal just as her and that I couldn't be destroyed, at one that point she just slammed the door and left me with very intense closed and open eyed visuals for the remaining 15 minutes of the experience.
Visually it was incredibly intense and I could feel that she was not in the mood at all, just like a woman on a very bad day. The dosing was 15-30mg vaped harmalas at about 8:30 PM and 10-15mg DMT at 1:00 AM, whole experience lasted for about 20-40 minutes.

Like Felnik, this sounds like what has happened to me when I've burned the spice. Super fast forward. Entities right in my face, mirrored on both sides, yelling nonsense at me telepathically. Usually when this has happened the entities are clowns or geisha in super VGA, pixellated, bright white and frightening. These experiences usually turn into calm visions on the comedown. Usually translucent green still images which I am either panning around, floating above or slowly zooming in on. One time, with the fast forward geisha, the comedown vision was like the back of a comic book advertisement from the 1970's. I saw the Earth, with its lid off, like a terrarium, and a giant cartoon boy, with his mouth open in delight gazing into his planet sized equivalent of a sea monkey tank. Below the Earth-tank toy was an order form in a language I didn't recognize, but somehow knew, that the promise of delivered joy came with the disclaimer: Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery. Welcome Home Mister_Niles. We've Been Waiting For You.

You can tell when it's not happy or welcoming, but you dealt with it in the best way. Just to calmly wait until it subsides, and do your best to just ride it out. It's very interesting with it's moods like this. I find the best way to avoid them is to only use the spice sparingly and to lead a positive life outside of smoalking.

I'm convinced that what you describe is some kind of loop That gets triggered and plays out a crazy fast scenario . I've seen it so many times I've lost count I feel like there's No intelligence behind it in the moment it's happening . It's playing a weird ass program of some kind . Well this is the first time that happens for me and I could definitely recognize that female character that I have felt on many different journeys, most of the time she dances these beautiful particles that I recognize as the particles that create and destroy everything and they come in blue, green and red color, sometimes she shows me things or dances with a human female form. I did feel that it was conscious and not a just some program but I could be wrong, it was not impersonal like other trips that I have just seen weird chit for no reason.

Did you check the ¨no good experiences¨ FAQ entry? I think it`s relevant to this. I`d definitely take a break for a while.

I see this is a bit of an old post, and that I actually responded to it a few months ago, however upon re-reading it, I thought I would also point out that the attitude quoted below that you held, seems to be very appropriate to me. Getting through such an experience requires patience, and a little emotional distance, as you wait for the insanity to run its course.
