So has there been a confirmed solvent replacement yet for the members who happen to reside in California? Naptha,Xylene,MEK,ect...All gone for us in CA.
I read where some of the answers were pointing CA solvent seekers to use Heptane, but is there any other solvents that are a tad cheaper and also OTC to say process several lbs. of bark or kilo's?
I mean if heptane will work and it's gonna be the only viable solvent thats being substituted for naptha, then how many of the pint sized heptane cans are needed for processing a kilo of bark?
Maybe the people I seen doing it with naptha were using excess solvent as a gallon was used for a kilo. Alot of reducing of the naptha was necessary so maybe using 2 or 3 pints of heptane will cut back on the dangerous reducing stage prior to freeze precipitating the good.
I'm sure alt solvent questions have been asked, so if you dont have any newer news about that can you just focus on the amount needed for the amount to be processed mentioned above.
