Hi all!
Excited to be taking my first steps albeit tentatively, into the community.

A brief synopsis;
Male
29
Live in Brisbane
Long time interest in entheogens but essentially nil experience
Lover of nature and all its wonders
Previous experience - a k-hole. Disasociative. Thought I was a cloud and that all human interaction was clouds merging and seperating. 3 distinct voices, the one chilling and observing, the reassuring one and the ironic one.
Also Coke (not a fan), MDMA, MCAT and weed (not my thing)

I work in an industry where drug test are frequent, and I have no real interest in those that close your mind. I have not partaken for more than 2 years, and really don't mind.

I am here for the spiritual experiences - I first heard about shrooms, then my Number One of my list and the chemical I most wish and still wish to experience: mescaline. I've read The Doors of Perception and am keen to see how having the curtains of my mind and ego stripped away can do for the soul...

What I would like to learn and share with the community:
Being in Brisbane, I see a lot of what I think are acacias, tho I'm still working on their close brethren to distinguish. I have seen many many posts regarding the identification of different species with photos etc but I can't find anywhere that gives a list of characteristics with sketches EG flower clusters, end of leaf tips shape etc. There are some, but given I'm not 100% sure on if I'm even looking at an acacia or a similar tree its not too much help :-\

I managed to find a copy of the CSIRO book Wattle: Acacias of Australia which a casual internet search will.not.find. All out of print, not published, removed for reasons. Fortunately mine should be in the list, along with the CD key for identifications.

What happened to worldwide wattle? It seems to have been exiled from the net too! Too much attention I guess?

My next steps:
Engage in the forum
Purchase a variety of seeds for cultivation in some acreage I have access to, for interest, identification comparison, product comparison and sheer diversity and ornamental display.
Meets in person with upstanding members
Harvest ethically from the numerous sources (once identified) a very small batch to test method
Small dose
Report feedback and progress of methodology
Larger dose for breakthrough, preferably with experienced company
Report learning

I'd love to meet you guys in person some when, as this seems to be a great home for intellectual and spiritual/humanist/ecologist/explorers that hopefully I'll fit in alongside.

Take it easy, thanks for reading
A

Welcome Wrenstar. After you've thoroughly made your way through the Acacia Identification thread (and since you can't post there yet), you may want to post pictures of some of your potential acacias here, so others can help you. Make sure you're well acquainted with that thread though.
