Something I've always wanted to try:

1) invite a friend over and sit them down somewhere comfortable
2) take a good picture of their face and print it on heavy matte paper
3) gather necessary art supplies, particularly white colored pencils, and sharpen them
4) smoalk
5) sit and look directly at that friend, then look at their photo (shot minutes before in the same lighting) and see if the superimposed patterns are the same
6) if so, use colored pencils to trace them

That's the idea... But I agree, this Marquesian tattoo patterning definitely has a spicy vibe to it. Oly, I'm guessing that's part of the attraction.

That would be interesting to see what comes out. Indeed these patterns remind me of DMT visuals. They speak to me on a very deep meaningful level. When i contemplated quitting tattooing I discovered this art form and have fell in love with tattoo more than ever. I owe a lot to Polynesian tattooing. It has brought me so much joy!!!

Looks great man thanks for sharing. I really like your style. What needles do you use for line work and shading?

No but a friend of mine is. Ive learned a little here and there from listening to him and was just curious. Recently became aware of dotwork tattooing which has peaked my interest. I personally dont have the steady hand but he wants me to practice anyways so I can give myself a tattoo.

Always liked your style too.

So beautiful to see you at work olympus mons. Just from that first picture alone you can tell how deeply intertwined you and your work are! I can't really judge your work, but the finished "sleave" looks good and i believe i also prefer minimalism when it comes to tattoos.
