Hi, SWIM did his first extraction following Q21Q21 vinegar tek, with sunflower oil instead of limonene.
After the Salting/Acid wash SWIM boiled down the vinegar/water till there was that much:


Now he knows, that he should just boil it down to the end, and scratch off the crust. But somebody advised him, to just try to freebase it like that (as a liquid). So SWIM:

-Dissolved 30g of Sodium Carbonate into 100ml of near boiling water
-Slowly added the Sodium Carbonate/H2O to the liquid result of the salting
-Shaked vigorously for about ::20 seconds
-Added 75ml of room temp H2O into the solution and shaked again for ::20 seconds.
-Put the jar in the freezer

Of course nothing happened. It looked like this:


After a week and a clean jar it looked like this:


SWIM then just put in a pot and boiled it down, till there only was a crust. The problem is, the crust weighs 45 grams (50g of Mimosa Hostilis Root Bark Powder were used) and SWIM suspects, that it is mostly sodium carbonate. It looks like this:



What could SWIM do? Is it possible to retrieve the DMT or is it lost?

sodium carbonate is insoluble in alcohol, whereas dmt is readily soluble.

get a high % rubbing/isopropyl alcohol, dehydrate it (bake epsom salts in the oven until they change noticeably, then filter the iso through the salts a couple times to remove any water from the alcohol), and then dissolve the dmt out of the crystals.

you really should follow instructions when performing procedures of this manner

I know, it was pretty stupid of me. But the liquid did not get gooey (what I expected), so I assumed since it is just so little I could use it like Fumarate.

Are there any other ways to dehydrate alcohol (I don´t have an oven)? And is it really that important? I can get 99,9% Isopropyl, there shouldn´t be much water in it. I also don´t need to have the cleanest, purest DMT there is.
I would then just mix the alcohol (how much would i crica need?) with the crystals, pour it off and let it evaporate?

sooo.
I crushed the sodium carbonate crystals as much as I could.


Then I added 99,5% Isopropyl, mixed well and poured it off through a coffee filter on a plate.


I put it on a radiator and after 7 hours it looked like this:

If the it´s not so clear from the pics, it´s a bit flakey, pretty white with streaks of yellow/orange. Is this white DMT or again just the sodium?

It has this certain not entirely pleasant, a little stale smell to it. It smells very similar to what I got in my second Tek.

Looks like DMT to me

Put just a tiny bit on your tongue. If it burns , it's likely DMT.
That's not sure fire though.
I'd get a little bit on a spoon or something and hit it with a flame.
If it smells like burnt plastic or similar, then you know what you have.
You can compare the smell by burning a tiny bit of carbonate.
