Hi there, I am new to this site and have been reading everybody's posts with great fascination. I am hoping you can point me in the right direction, and am hoping that my post won't break any rules or etiquette. SWIM recently managed to acquire a Peyote var. Caespitosa (the one who pups really easily) and would love to know if anybody knows of anyone who has had any experience with this specific variety. Of special interest is approximately how much one would theoretically need to ingest. The plant in question has four bigger pups of around 1 inch each, and loads of tiny ones that measure around 1cm. Any recommendations, guidance and suggestions will be gladly received.

I have read reports of people saying that Lophophora Williamsii v. Caespitosa has the same potency as your regular L. Williamsii. That being said, people usually eat any where from five to 15 buttons for a dose. Personally, I would recommend using a Trichocereus for your adventures with mescalito. They grow quickly and are quite sustainable. If you find a nice clone, you can root it and it will grow at least one dose a year. Peyote takes 5-10 years plus to fully acquire it's potency.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion, much appreciated. The peyote I bought were really cheap - four small pots for less than £5 so I really don't mind eating them and am especially keen to experience peyote. If anybody has any information to specific quantities and other suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated Smile
