greetings, I will start by saying i have noticed some members are still considered new even after being here for a couple years, i do not know if that is due to immaturity and lack of contribution on the users part or lack of being seen by the moderators. In case of the latter i have decided to write this essay.

I only officially joined recently but have been a frequent visitor to the nexus for the past 3 or 4 years; for help, research, and to simply explore the vast world of information and experiences this forum has to offer.

I have a moderate level, to the best of my knowledge, of experience with DMT having produced it a few times and experiencing it many many more times. I have less but still considerable experience with LSD and Mushrooms, as well as a few encounters with N-BOMs, 2C chemicals and salvia. They may not be as numerous as others and while i may not have as much to contribute as many full members right now, I think i have enough experiences, insights, and information to contribute to threads outside the welcome area, and would greatly enjoy doing so as im sure it would only help enhance my understanding of the subject matter.

I am pursuing a degree in biology with a minor in chemistry with the hopes of going to med-school, if i don't make it, then i plan on being a researcher. But i certainly believe in being a student of life for life, no matter what. However, it is not what i think, but what you full members and moderators think.

I also have very relevant questions that i can't post to threads outside the welcome area and would greatly enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to post those questions directly instead of starting a new thread in the welcome area which i dont believe receives as much attention as the full member areas. We are all students of this life and world and i only ask to be given the opportunity to learn more from more experienced users, and help wherever i can.

Thanks for the well wishes. And actually the traveler clearly states that new members may write a full membership essay to state their case and information for being promoted to help make it more expedient. It's stated in the section where different ways to help gain membership are stated

Speak of the devil!!! I was scoping the mushroom section and, if you go to the "Michigan ID" thread by philosopher, post three, scroll down to the yellow 'pin'..... that is VERY gymish! I believe he has a very possible Gym there. But I cant post or pm him so someone please pass that along. Im sure he'd like to know since there will likely be another cluster in the exact same spot, at the exact same time of year as he found that one popping up next go 'round. The dead tree he more than likely pulled it off of can even be seen in the background.

Welcome to the nexus. Just a heads up, its acceptable to create threads in the welcome area in response to threads outside of it. Most people will title their thread like "response to "id this mushroom" and then post a link to the thread you wish to respond to and your reply.

Often times members will copy your response directly into the thread. Also dont feel limited, use the welcome area to its full extent. You can post there anything you would want to be able to post anywhere else.

One question about that thread to cyb or whomever else is kind enough to answer or clear it up. It's also a question that went unanswered on that thread.

Is there any way for new members to check to see if they've been voted on or how many times?

It seems useful to know in case your getting voted no on, so you can change behavior accordingly if you don't realize it's bad at first.

No way to see your votes I'm afraid.
Just post interesting, relevant and thoughtful words and behave as you see other good folks round here, people will see what you are like and will push the button accordingly.
Some get made members quite quickly some take many months. All depends.
