I'm looking for a sedative with a nice body high with the little to no addiction potential. I have had a few experiences with DMT and because it's so intense I thought it would be really nice to mix it with a sedative in order to relax and reflect for a while after the trip. I am very careful with any substance I take and would like to stay away from the more addictive chemicals. I understand that based on how sedatives work there will probably be addictive properties to any sedative; I'm simply trying to minimize that. It would be nice if the chemical was smokable so I could make changa but I can't be too picky. Any suggestions?

Is there an example sedative you can give to narrow down what you are looking for? Sedative can be pretty broad, opiates, benzos, sleep aids and alcohol can all be described as sedatives.
Barbiturates are potent when smoked, but not likely what you are looking for and I cannot honestly recommend them.

How about indica-dominant cannabis? Those can get pretty sleepy and you won't develop much of an addiction or tolerance. Some people don't like cannabis with DMT though so your mileage may vary.

Maybe Kava Kava? It's a non-addictive sedative that has always worked well with calming my anxiety, i haven't yet experienced dmt though, but i've read it synergizes well with kava. I'll probably have a good dose of some before my first experience. Here's a couple of threads that describes the synergy with kava + dmt. http://www.shroomery.org...flat.php/Number/10261916https://www.dmt-nexus.me....aspx?g=posts&t=4101Its also an MAO-B Inhibitor. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9832350

A little Passionflower and Chamomile tea is a good pre and post DMT brew. It get's you in the dreamy state before and keeps you relaxed after.
Add a little harmala extract (MAOI) to the mix and it will draw it out a little longer. (only in certain smoking instruments... 'The Key' with the sandwich method is pretty sweet for an MAOI/DMT mix. Or just smoke a little in a different bowl before.

Awesome thank you guys. As for an example I used to really enjoy a blend that was called Xplo many years ago (if anyone else has tried it and knows exactly whats in it please let me know) as far as I know it was a damiana base enhanced with lotus and wild dagga extracts plus a couple others that i just can't remember. That stuff made you feel very calm and had a very pleasant body high. So thats kind of the qualities I'm looking for. I have tried some sleepers but I don't enjoy them. If I were to try the passionflower and chamomile tea, how long would I wait between drinking and smoking and how much would I take?

Are you talking before using changa? I'd say around an hour. You'll know when you start feeling like you're not all the way awake. Like if you took some Nyquil and weren't allowed to sleep.
Is your changa going to have an MAOI? Because though passionflower IS one, it's very very weak. Just throwing that out there.

Kava, hands down. The taste isn't all to be desired, which curbs the addiction potential considerably. There is also the dry skin it causes from drinking too much. (It's a diuretic) Although subtle. Kava has a pleasant tranquil feel to it. Like lounging at the beach on a warm sunny day. SpaceSeek is a fictional character.
