Im a South African guy , 38 years old, had my party years many moons ago, tripped on a lot of acid, loved it. All I do these days is cannabis.

I have decided I will experience DMT.

Im not part of the 'scene' these days, so getting (unjustly) illegal substances as rare as DMT, well I wouldn't know where to start, especially with stock I can trust.

I'm investigating perhaps doing it myself, getting advice on here whether it is a viable option. And if it's not viable, what do I do to tear down those walls. My chemistry experience is virtually null.

Looking forward to being on here, sure there must be very interesting characters here, and good people.

Nic

Don't worry, you don't need to have any chemistry knowledge at all. If you are capable of reading a guide and not afraid to following it to the letter, you will be fine! The nexus encourages its members to do extractions and there is a wealth of information out there. You just have to dive in and get ready for a truly outstanding experience.

Great.

Thanks, a worry I had was that I blow something up/poison myself. Feel a lot safer with so much peer reviewed advice available.

My ideal goal would be to find a plant in my local reserve, I suspect there are many of the acacias/others that could have fair/good dmt levels, but research simply hasnt been done yet.

Who knows, maybe I can contribute to that knowledge in the future. But I suppose milestone 1 is sourcing the plant, I will go through the forums, sure the advice on the 'starting point' has been handed out 500 times.

Let the adventure continue...

Welcome to the nexus, NicBolt.

I believe no chemistry knowledge is required for DMT extractions, just following the instructions properly; self-extractions are supported here, definitely a viable option IMO. There is a lot of info on the nexus.

Check out the FAQ and WIKI

Good luck with your path.

howzit Nic Very happy

there are many plants im sure you could try, but you would have to use a lot of material.. Acacia Karoo / Acacia Nilotica bark for example, have heard good things about it. Im sure there are many plants still to be discovered with even higher content..

altho MHRB and ACRB seem most desirable. or even if you could get your hands on Acuminata phyllodes that could be promising...

The extraction is easy and pretty safe if you follow precautions. I never had any problems

Also check out http://sharetheseeds.me/ to trade anything of interest (for the long run it will be well worth it)

Welcome and good luck Smile

Hi NicBolt! Where there's a will, there's a way. I am on the same latitude as you, and I'm sure you will find great specimens for ext. SWIM also had very little chem knowledge, but it hasn't impinged on her successful extractions.

OK, Mother Nature, here's a list of all the colours. Which one should we use for the skin of Chameleons?

"Yes."

Hi all.

Thanks for all the replies. Is there any way fairly simple way to test for DMT content. My local nature reserve has various acacias , but I cant find any verified DMT content, for example the Acacia Karoo is very common, the suburbs here are littered with them. Ive found literature that says they have psychedelic qualities, but no mention of DMT.
I dont mind going through the expirement of extracting different parts from different plants, but is thhere a simple way to check for DMT content that I can educate myself, and others.

Its suprising how slowly im taking this journey, suppose it helps that i astro-travelled in my lsd days, so i know the "great beyond" exists.

This is a big deal, but I would rather do things properly rather than hacking my way through it.
All the best, and thanks in advance

Welcome to the Nexus!

Did you check nen`s acacia thread yet? I think he mentiones something about south african acacias, check the first index post...

But yeah bro there are definitely ways to check for tryptamine content without having to do a full extraction. I am currently working on developing a testing kit, I`ll post more info in the near future.

In the meanwhile, what you could do is get a small amount of each suspected plant, grind it up, soak in alcohol, filter the alcohol, evaporate it, and then on the left over residue you add a drop of Ehrlich reagent (check my signature`s `colorimetric` link for where to buy such reagents). If it has tryptamines, it will turn purple. If it doesn`t, dont use that plant. If it does turn purple, it might not be DMT but rather some other tryptamine, but at least it`s a good indication there might be something in there.

Hope that helps Smile
