Hi, I've lurked around here for a bit but just decided to join. I've been active Shroomery.org (same username), but not in a minute so you may not remember me.

I'm just under 30 years old and have been studying DMT since I first read Burrough's "Yage Letters" at around 16 or 17. Of course I've gleaned all the essentials since then (The Spirit Molecule, Supernatural, TiKHAL, Invisible Landscape, etc.). Entheogens have always been a background interest of mine. Everything I've gathered nonobjectively has indicated that psychedelics are not the same thing as other drugs and I've always had a deep instinctual feeling that things can be learned through them.

However, I had no firsthand experiences (with really ANYTHING psychedelic except psilocybe cubensis) until just recently. I've found dimethyltryptamine to both everything I expect and something completely astounding at the same time.

As I've said, these concepts have been an almost lifelong interest for me and I feel as if the time is right and the doors have opened for me to take part. I don't want to get too weird but I was in sort of an existential funk lately (that in retrospect seemed entirely unnecessary) and my recent experiences with DMT and lysergics has really helped me gain clarity/perspective/confidence in almost every area of my life.

Again, it's so deeply personal I can't even put it into words, but at the same time I can't keep the positivity of this to myself.

I want to become part of a community that has shared this sort of thing and do whatever I can to advance general knowledge and help anyone that needed it like I once did.

I'm not a revolutionary sort at all, but if we can show people slowly at a time, acceptance of entheogens inevitably will have to snowball and perhaps the public can begin to come to a change in conception concerning these concepts.

I would honored to be accepted among everybody here and will do what I can do contribute to this community!

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Agent Clarent,

Welcome to the community. It would be awesome if every human could open their third eye and be reminded where we come from and that we all are one.

True, but even though I've been experiencing this stuff and really liking what I'm finding, I have to remind myself that probably not everyone can handle it. I think it would be irresponsible of me to drag anyone into the light!

My lady and I have been together 10+ years, and though I so wish I could share these things with her she remains noncommittal and I think that's actually best for now. She needs to work through a couple things in other ways before she's ready for the blast off of the Spirit Molecule...

Not everyone understands your journey, it's not these to understand .... Remember that.

And I agree, not everyone can handle the show

Totally understood. She's getting interested, though. Gonna be awhile anyway because my supply is exhausted!

I've done a/b teks with other stuff before, time to start getting more familiar with DMT versions. I imagine it's a lot more economic (and rewarding) to extract DMT than it is to just buy it.

Is mimosa still the material of choice? That's what I've read about most in the last few years though it seems like I read something about it becoming hard to acquire after last year.

Acacia then?

I also still have those phallaris seeds too.

Welcome Agent Claret!

I agree not everyone can handle the experience namely my wife...as much as I hate to say it I personally wouldn't want to see her go through it. She is one of them types that fears the loss of control and I feel right now it would be downright traumatizing for her even though it probably would do her some good in that area...hard to say... It sure is a fine line though.

Ultimately it is up to them with no added pressure. If my wife was to come to me today and say "I'm ready" I would refer her here then give her more time to decide. This is by means not an easy path to walk as I'm constantly re-evaluating my use and intentions to this day.

I highly resonate with your philosophy towards entheogens, so welcome you are in good company!

I have heard you are never supposed to buy or sell it, rather gift or be gifted.

I imagine if you extract it yourself, it would be quit rewarding

Hello!

That's an interesting point you make about your wife. My gf has never touched any substances beside alcohol, so it is pretty much impossible for me to explain the point of psychedelics to her. On the other hand she is the one who has managed to control my drug use and thank god for that.

I really like shroomery too, but I feel if some web community could affect the way people see modern use of psychedelics, it would be the nexus. All the collaborative research stuff etc., I love it!
