Hey all, I recently found some Acacia flavescens nearby and I was wondering if it is worth extracting from because I looked it up on google and found various websites stating it was strongly psychoactive but I couldn't find out what psychoactive alkaloids are found in this sp.
Anyone ever extract anything from this sp.?

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

Never heard of an extraction but if there is it will be somewhere in the acacia info thread. A harm reduction method is to acid boil to negate the cyanogenic glucosides. Before this soak in methylated spirits or ethanol and filter to extract the gum.
Im sure there would be many more positive results if this had been done it acts as a glue trapping the alks.
Use a solvent like toluene to try and pull the full spectrum. Good luck let us know how you get on.
Acacia magnum in NE Queensland looks like it has that tryptamine aura..
