Firstly,

hello to everyone here. been a member floating around for a while and have learned so so much from you guys on this site. so also a thankyou to you all.

Also, This all happened in a dream!! ;-)

about a year ago, I Mod Edit:No talk of buying, Thankyou 100g mhrb whole bark, used the naptha / lye method with fantastic results, went into hyperspace a few times after making myself the machine.

Now, I have recently removed more root bark,

I do EXACTLY the same extraction technique,
100g powdered mimosa, (added to de ironised water, with 40g lye, added mhrb,

shake, let settle in hot water bath for a few hours, add 50ml Naptha, dmt shuffle while in warm water bath.

syphon off the naptha and freeze over night.

Now here is where it appears different, in stead of like clumpy yellow dmt crystals, I get lots and lots of small off white material. Once dried I scrape off and its more like a powdery fluffy substance. smells plastic like dmt.

I recrystallize this with warm naptha, I put in a pyrex dish, put lid on with a small gap, and leave in my cool loft for about 2 days, the results are beautiful very white crystals.

but..... no matter the amount I use (in machine) I get almost no effects. I have tried 100mg and could quite happily sit there with eyes open.

Its like the dmt is there but extremely weak. I don't get the buzzing In ears and sight does not appear break into like squares. if I do close my eyes, there are colours but they are very dull and only last a few seconds. I sit there very disappointed. :-(

This has happened with the last 2 batches of mimosa ( I live in UK) and I am so frustrated.
the rootbark looks ok when it arrives, nice purple in colour, I grind it up to a powder and like I said I get a good amount of crystals.

My smoking technique has never let me down. I really don't want to be wasting any more money on this and just want a decent product.

As I don't do ANYTHING different from what has worked in the past, surley it can only be the bark.

Has anyone any advise on this or has had a similar experience

those are just xtals but flat...the longer/slow you evap causes the flat hexagonal shaped xtals to form all over the bottom of the evap dish. much prefered. not sure why you say its weak, its probably just using the machine that is causing this perception... poor vape technique causing it to burn before it vapes which you expierence as loss of potency.

A glass vapor genie solves that problem. try holding the flame a little lower from the machine. Sometimes the spice just doesnt let you all the way also.

It's possible that the plant oils in the yellower stuff you had previously helped to keep it from burning too quickly. Pure DMT seems trickier in that regard. Glad you got it figured out!

yes mate, that will be it, my first go I never recrystalised, I have noticed that the pure white crystals burn extremely easily. I now use steel wool with ash, this seems to help keep from burning.

If you can find some [copper choreboy mesh pads] try to sandwish your dmt in between two pads of chore boy..
This should keep the high heat away long enough for DMT to vaporize properly...
Once it vapes right you should get more effect from lower doses..

I was wondering if I were to place the crystals between two pipe screens (like a sandwich) and hold the flame just of that using my MJ water bong would that vape the crystals properly.

just infuse your DMT into some herb and smoalk it in the bong, it saves a lot of hassle.

No, I would bet that trying this would just melt all the DMT and make it run down into the stem of your bong. Sandwich it in herbs, ash, or as 3rdI said make some enhanced leaf if you really want to use your bong for DMT.

Personally, I don't recommend using something as big as a bong because the more surface area you have inside your chamber, the more DMT you will have stuck to the inside of it rather than in your brain. Water filtration may cool the vapor as well, making even more of it crystallize before it gets to your face.
