Hi cacti-folks,

I'm curious if anyone knows about the alkaloid content of T. brevispinulosus.

I've checked all of the standard alkaloid tables of various trichs and this one never seems to be listed. I spoke with a fellow who has a few and he said they're very slow growing compared to other trichs.

They're very beautiful plants.

Thank ya,
Wap

Edit: I just found its synonymous with T. harrissima

I actually just ordered seeds yesterday along with some other off the wall trich species. Boliviensis (bridgesii?), crassiarboreus, nigripilis, and sp Las Coimas Chile.

I don't see it in KT's Cactus Chemistry publication. I would be a little surprised if it was known to be active and he hadn't covered it, but that doesn't mean it's not a possibility.
