I just finished up an A/B extraction from an Acacia Confusa forest growing near me, and I'm very happy with the results!

Starting from 500g of dark red root bark, I ended up with almost exactly 5g of pure white crystalline DMT.

So it is true that Acacia Confusa has 1% or more DMT content.

I did five pulls with Naphtha, combined the pulls, and used dry ice to isolate the NMT from the DMT (thanks again Arcologist!).

After freeze precipitation, the excess solvent was decanted, then left to dry in a cool dark place.

After 2 days, the crystals were dry.

I measured just over 5 grams of pure white sparkling DMT.

Awesome work!

How exactly does one use the dry ice, just drop it in the combined solvent pulls?

Please do share. Smile

much love,
tat

Its really easy and fun to separate NMT from DMT using dry ice. Yes, you basically drop in a few chunks!

As arcologist describes the technique:

I am having good results in this thread using dry ice to generate CO2. It has given me perfect mimosa-esque crystals from ACRB and is really easy to do.

And here's a photo of the results of my latest ACRB extraction:

I forgot to post the picture of my first combined extraction ( pulls 1-4) of my 'Latest Greatest'. This shows 3+ grams of spice immediately after freeze precipitation/decanting solvent. That accumulation on the corner dried completely after a few hours.

Is there a good way to keep that NMT that was separated off and convert it back to Freebase for smoking or combining with other DMT in different ratio's?

Yes, you can regenerate amines from the formed carbamate by treatment of the carbamate with a strong base of the group consisting of alkaline earth metal hydroxides (NaOH, KOK, CaOH etc) or by treatment with alkaline earth metal carbonates.

It is also possible the amines can be recovered from carbamates by thermal decomposition as they are thermally unstable. The paper cited below implies that temperature would be in excess of 100°C

Check out the paper in this post for references

BTW - nice work DonPeyote!

Very nice DonPeyote!
Seeing all the folks who are having success with ACRB has me feeling pretty optimistic about my current, half finished extraction.
Looks like some really nice spice.

Very interesting using the dry ice...
Below are photos of my last pulls getting highly oversaturated solvent in first photo..
Then pouring off the exess solvent and simply evaporating into crystals...
I never used any dry ice or freezer...just developed oversaturation then evaporating with fan into crystals...
Yours may be purer because of freez percipatation ...but to look at it it apears close??Thumbs up

Wow, nice work Don.

Is the best part not that you harvested the material yourself?

Big grin Big grin Thumbs up
