Built this last night. It will later on be hooked up to an Arduino which will measure temp/humidity/co2 levels in the chamber and operate the machinery. This is version 1 (proof of concept). Version 2 will be a bigger box and will have a toilet tank filler to adjust the water level. Alternatively I may just get a water level measure device and hook that up to the Arduino to have it control a solenoid valve to refill.

Looks really good as a POC. I'm interested in hearing how those foggers do with your RH...

Looks like an interesting setup , my only 2 cents is
To make sure you sterilize the crap out of everything right before
You start the grow . Also filtering any air coming into grow chamber .
I always thought a UV purifier setup would be the best choice.
Contamination in indoor grows is the worst thing to contend with .

If the mycelium has taken hold then the chances of mould and other contaminants are highly reduced. Sitting water can create bacteria. I also do a re-dunk of the cakes once in a while, however right before the re-dunk I spray them with diluted peroxide. Also helps living in a brand new apartment. As far as UV goes, while it could be used to kill contams in your water supply it should not be used inside a FC as I have read that it will actually kill the mycelium, though I could be totally wrong about that.

There are actually guides out there on how to do mycology with peroxide to reduce risk of contamination. http://www.mycomasters.com/

Peroxide is good I've used it with success in the past.
My thoughts on a uv setup would be to treat the air before it gets in
The FC . Also using some kind of HEPA filtering as well.
Good luck with your grow it's super satisfying once you get it dialed in .

Ahh yes! I was thinking of having a UV light in the water where the ultrasonic misters reside and blowing HEPA filtered air into it.

Do you by chance know what PPM CO2 is bad for mushrooms? I wanted to add an exhaust fan to suck the air out once a certain CO2 PPM is reached in the FC.

In terms of co2 and air exchange I don't think you have to get that precise although it's a very cool
Idea . I guess your talking about a sensor that would monitor co2 levels .
As cool as that is I would imagine a simple timer system that would allow air
Exchange a couple times a day would be quite effective .
