from wiki:

Quote:
In project management, a project charter or project definition (sometimes called the terms of reference) is a statement of the scope, objectives and participants in a project. It provides a preliminary delineation of roles and responsibilities, outlines the project objectives, identifies the main stakeholders, and defines the authority of the project manager. It serves as a reference of authority for the future of the project.

So I think I'm going to devote a good deal of time to writing a complete charter for the CEL. I'm currently in my first year of university, (undeclared major) and most of the classes I've taken so far have been writing/english and chemistry/biology courses. Writing is my forte, and I think that is how I could best contribute to this project. What I want people to do in this thread is put forward ideals and objectives for the organization. I'll discuss what I think should be included, and once we have a list of objectives/goals/whatnot, I'll turn it into a cohesive document.

Lol I just discovered the mission statement thread, but I still think it will be useful to have a new thread to redevelop ideas.
