Hello Nexus,

I will be using 200 grams of acrb and I'm going in with minimal funds because all of my equipment has been stolen! I already have most of the stuff I'll need to complete the task at hand, but I need to know something very important before I make any steps..I don't know if this was already asked and answered, (if so please direct me to the thread) but would basic Ball jars be alright for the mixture, would the lye react? I am attaching pics, just need to know if the coating on the bottom of the lids is good to go or should I take more time to make money to invest in jugs with rubber corks?

I am doing an STB tek slightly modified from another website and any input is appreciated, always have room to grow!

Peace, Love and Eternal Expansion!!

Rubber corks? - not the best idea imho...

And no I wouldn't trust those Bali jar lids either...

I use bottles from a brand that makes canning jars, so it's essentially the same product in a different shape... I found corks (real corks made from...cork lol) in my local homebrewing shop and they fit perfectly...

My friend who taught me has always used 3 gallon and 1 gallon glass jugs with hard rubber corks and we haven't had any problems. But with these jars I just wasn't sure if I should figure out a better way to seal them or use a completely different container for the mixing and extracting process. My town doesn't seem to carry anything useful so I'd have to resort ordering online or going out of town to get the equipment I used to have..

You can do a 50-100g bark extraction in a wine bottle without a problem. Every town will carry them.
