I just smoked the last little bit of my first extaction, and had a very plesant experience as usual. So now im emty. Which i am going to do something about.
I plan on doing the same extraction since i feel that worked out pretty well the last/first time.

I want to do a 250g ACRB round, which is 5 times bigger than my first one. Going for CYB`s HYBRID SALT A/B TEK again. But im doing some minor changes: All glassware this time, will use only destilled water througout the whole process, and going to let the first step,the acid part do its Magic for 72 hours before adding the salt and lye,not going to heat it as much as last time in the hot waterbath,last time i almost couldn`t hold the glass jar With the solution, which probably was a little to hot.
And i will not shake it as hard either , i will swirl and twist it instead, maybe shake wery carefully and more often than the first extraction. But basicly im duplicating the procedure. I would prefer to use naphta from/stored in a metal container, i have gotten the ipression here on the nexus that it is better. But the only naphta i can get my hans on comes in PET plasic bottles,buhuu Naphta seems to be the hardest thing to get for me, and i dont have any other options right now.

I will also play PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE Music when i do the extraction, to get the right feeling and pass/putt it into the spice Probably something like this mix:

But anyways...im asking this to be sure/not because im stupid (i hope at least): When it comes to the Chemicals and water,i plan on just upscale the volumes x 5...just seems logical. Is there something else i should consider, or changing up With this larger exraction ?

Save yourself days of work.. and just do an STB on that bark. I pull 2g from ACRB doing an STB with my solution warmed the entire time. I do not defat, i do not freeze/thaw. THis is with 100g of ACRB hawaiian btw. Using a half gallon mason jar. If you boil the root bark to extract it in the acid phase, then you could do 250g in a 1 gallon wine jug. I get my jugs at the grocery store for 7$, they are full of apple juice.


1) 100g ACRB + 1500mL Arrowhead Spring Water + 100g LYE
2) stir/mix well
3) place jar in hot water bath at 150F for 30 mins or more.
4) While the jar is still warm/hot, Pull with 150mL of naphtha. 4x
5a) evap with a fan in cool air (cold air like 30-40F will result in crystals)
5b) evap with a fan in cool air until half the naphtha is gone. Then freeze precip.

The bark i get is grinded to fine powder, and i get my hands on it very easy-so i can experiment as i se fit.
Cant wait to try that tek.

That's not how it works. If you do that you will have too much of everything.

My advice is do 2 X 1litre bottles (each with 125 bark) all other amounts stay the same.

OK...so 200ml destilled water,30-35g salt,50g lye and 50ml nps for 125g acrb powder?
That does not make sense with me,are you sure? wont the ph be off? And wont the mix be wery thick?

Or do you mean the same ratio as the original tek,but split the acidified mix in two (250 devided in two is 125)so that the additives will be x 2,5 for each half(compared to the 50g extraction?

I dont meen to be difficult,just want to get it right.
I was planing on doing the 250g extraction in a 5 l pyrex glass container,but i agree its easier to handle 2 smaller ones.

I think i got it now, cant just upscale...i will keep a very close eye on the ph on the acid part and when i basyfie it.
As long as the ph is right and the consistency is right, i probably should be allright.

Im going to expriment more, and ask less from now on.

Don't forget ...you 'acidify' and 'basify' the water...not the bark
You can always add a little more lye and salt if you want...it can't hurt. Pull as normal.
