Hi umm don't no where to start so I'm gunna be very honest so please don't judge ,, Here goes I'm 43 yo and I am experianced in the drug scene but have been clean for twenty years this year , I was a heroin addict but later went on the methadone program and have been on it for the last 20years , I no some will say I gave up one drug to just have another yes I have but this keeps me grounded and it works for me , and this is why I ask to not judge me as I'm not the local junkie missing teeth and scabbing change to survive , but I have been walking around for so long with blinders on doing my everyday mundine things so to speak , since being on the program in Australia you have to see a Dr every fortnight in which I like because I'm lucky to have a Dr that acutely cares and he's also a physiatrist , on my fortnightly visits I've always none he's into the spirite molecule , and on numerance accausions he's tried to tell me about this stuff but always thought he was abit of a fruit loop ,, until I looked on YouTube and it peaked my interest then read an article that even peaked my interest more and after regular fortnightly visits with my Doc I was hooked I haven't tried it yet or has my Doc tried to push me into having it either , but it's like I've been woken up again from my trudging through my last 20yrs of my life , and that's how I found myself here , so thank you for allowing me to join in this wonderful subject !!

Hello There Earthwalker, Wow, great intro essay - thank you for sharing. The absolute LAST thing I and others are here for is to judge folks. Speaking for myself, I'm in a horrible position to judge. We share are experiences and opinions and even concerns. I hope you'll be okay with this because you sound like a good new member of our ever growing family, ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) . Many here have come out of a background of hardcore addiction to many substances. I've been through opiate withdrawls in the past and am in Cymbalta withdrawls currently. I send you nothing but love, caring and acceptance for your path. At our ages (I'm 45) we are starting to really figure out what is right and works for us. I'm so glad you found us. You couldn't have come to a better place on the web to learn about DMT and be a part of a DMT community. Whether you choose to use this amazing molecule in smoked or oral form, is really not super important. Not everyone here does DMT. Some have never done it and many have done it and currently don't do it or don't do it very much. Putting down the phone and all that, ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) . Anyway, I'd encourage you to take a good look around. If you choose to extract, check the wiki for a plethora of teks on a variety of plants. There are a large number of subfora here that cover a deep and wide variety of subjects. Something for just about anyone. I'd also like to invite you to check out our chat room to tap into a more direct kind of support, community, resource for questions, etc. Again, a very warm welcome to you. "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU

there are many in a similar situation to you, that liberated themselves of their methadone addiction from an ayahuasca session. though iboga is really the medicine for curing addiction (no guarantees, of course, but its certainly more effective than silly groups like NA - in fact the guy who founded AA cured his alcoholism with LSD, so the potential for healing is there). best of luck to you in this journey, i certainly hope you find whatever it is you are looking for My wind instrument is the bong CHANGA IN THE BONGA! 樹
