Just plant your feet in the ground and be like aye girl we GOIN on a date.. lol jk that was my Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder impression via text.. tell her she goan learn today. But in all seriousness just make her feel comfortable about it and tell her the truth about DMT and what it does. I just told my ex it was blissful it was like a really beautiful dream and it is an awakening of your higher ethereal being. And it feels like going back home. Something like that lol just make it a positive thing Smile Its not a drug it is the spirit molecule. I got her to try Salvia, Shrooms, and DMT with me and she liked it.

Just be open and honest. If she likes mushrooms and understands their medicinal value then there isn't much to worry about, especially since mushrooms are basically like a form of oral dmt in a lot of ways.

I would explain things about ayahuasca and dmt as they've been used traditionally long before jumping right into the topic of extraction (which is far different than making/creating/manufacturing btw), since that might paint it in a more unfriendly light to people who grow up in our culture...There has been some great studies on ayahuasca in the last decade or two as well. And of course don't ever make her feel pressured into doing it herself. Just relate what you know, but unpack it gently.

Btw there are teks out there that are food-grade and very safe. And regardless of the tek the chemistry is very well understood and if you do it right there should be no toxic contaminants whatsoever. Smile

If she was fine with consuming over a dozen pharmaceuticals then I don't think she will demonize your usage of a molecule that's in your body, produced by thousands of plants, physically not toxic, and has a very long history of medicinal usage in humans. But if she wants to use it, take it slow and be careful, especially since she has underlying psychiatric issues. As you know psychedelics can help tremendously in that area but if not careful they can also exasperate that sort of thing.

Good luck! Your blessed to have found a partner who is open to psychedelics

If healing is what you want, I highly recommend trying an Ayahuasca brew instead of freebased DMT. In addition to being more involved and healing (for most people, anyway), the preparation doesn't seem as sketchy as extracting freebased DMT and has a lot of history and context that might make it more appealing.

Blessings

Do you have a good enough understanding of the procedure to explain to her why and how there is no lye or paint thinner in the final product? I think that's how I would approach it as far as the extraction goes. Or go with one of the food-safe teks.

For the compound itself I would explain to her the structural similarity between dimethyltryptamine, psilocybin/ psilocin, and serotonin/ tryptophan; the fact that it is relatively safe, and encourage her to do some of her own research. Perhaps The Spirit Molecule documentary would be a good place to start. Good luck, I hope she is open-minded about it. It sounds like she might be willing to entertain the idea at least. Definitely mention the fact that dimethyltryptamine is significantly less dangerous than most of those horrid pharmaceuticals...

And, this probably goes without saying, but if she does develop a basic understanding of DMT/ayahuasca and how it works, and she still doesn't want to try it, don't push too hard. That's for her to decide. Smile

Perhaps a slightly higher dose of mushrooms could be beneficial as well. As far as depression/ anxiety goes, I feel like psilocybin has probably been more helpful for me than dimethyltryptamine. But DMT has helped me work through many mental/emotional problems as well.

I think that depends both on the psychiatric issue and on the individual. I used small daily doses of cannabis to treat anxiety and depression for years and it worked very well. It allowed me to see my problems from a new perspective, which helped me figure out how to solve my problems. For anxiety I found that when I was using cannabis regularly, the panic attacks I experienced for years occurred less frequently and they were significantly less intense. It certainly isn't a cure, but for some people it can be used as a pretty effective treatment. I have also heard of it being prescribed for ADD/ADHD.

But, as I said before, I think it depends on the individual, how they react to cannabis, and what psychiatric issues they suffer from.

Before you try to convince your girlfriend to use dmt ask yourself why that's so important to you. Dmt might very well, not heal her it could make things worse then they are now, the same goes for you.
In general I think its a bad idea for people, that as you put it yourself are not right in the head, to use strong psychedelics. For them its really a flip on the dice on how they end up. DMT healing could well turn into some thing less desirable.

So just don't try to convince her or anyone else to use DMT, If someone really has a intrinsic desire to use, then sure you could share.

take care

How about tree bark, plus pickling lime, vinegar and sunflower oil?

I think its way too complicated to generalize about it

And since he says it is helping a lot, then I don't see any reason to suggest against it. Of course cannabis use/experiences can change over time and if it becomes a detriment to your progress instead of a tool then you know what to do.

To be honest, my opinion is that with the variety of psychiatric issues you both have and the number of medications you have been on I would honestly stop all illicit psychoactive drugs until you get your self straight...

I'm not judging you are telling you how to live, but honestly I'd start a consistent exercise routine and get myself as far away from all drugs and alcohol as I could for a good several months...maybe a year or more. Then if you feel compelled to come back and use it as an exploratory tool then give it a shot.

Honestly the people that seem to get the most help are the ones that do them on rare occasions... Even people that benefit from many successive sessions typically have to take an extended break and integrate what has been experienced. I know that is generalizing, but it is what I have observed.

In my opinion the drugs (and they are drugs) can only facilitate healing.
The healing itself is in how your life changes after you get insights...

Just my humble opinion.

Peace

Inclined to agree with Joedirt & Expandaneum here. How ever, that does not mean you can't tell her about its positive effects for you, its use in the context of Ayahuasca use within Shamanism, Santo Daime and UDV. I have had many journeys myself that have been blissful, insightful, healing, awe inspiring and just downright flabbergasting, but I have also had experiences that have split my head wide open, and required some fairly serious re-building and re-evaluation of, well, just about everything afterwards. Please, DO NOT BE PUSHY about this, if she is willing and ready to undertake such work, then it is best starting off slowly.
