I am currently writing a paper for my studies with the topic called "the role of unconscious in integrating one's psyche according to Jungian teachings" and I was wondering if there ever were conducted some empirical studies in this area? I imagine that with our present scientific tools it could be rather hard, but since my degree course is psychology and I am kinda required to make some references to empirical studies, it might come in handy.

Thank you for any help.

Definitely I will refer to psychology and alchemy aswell as to
Aion: Researches into the Phenomenology of the Self. But it would be nice to back it up with some more typical scientific work. Thank you for the article you posted, it might become useful, but I will still need more.
