I tried the powder straight, 5g blended with orange juice and drank on an empty stomach (blending definitely made it more drinkable).

Can't say I really felt anything obvious at this dosage sans MAO, other than a calming effect, but this was subtle. I'm guessing an increase in dosage will manifest more effects with any MAOI type compounds present wielding more of an effect on the mix of alkaloids. This same dosage taken in the same fashion after consuming some Syrian rue and B. caapi full spectrum extract produced impressive results, and Acacia confusa root bark is definitely a potent DMT source.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

It always seems that the AC trips orally are about 30 minutes from the different reports I have read. And no MAOIs are necessary, helpful, but not necessary for sure.

I didn't know one could do the same with mimosa bark?!

The AC experience is different experientially, IDK, seems more Earthly versus Outer-Space-ly, hmmmm...I once directly communicated with plants, trees, and ROCKS with AC, but not with mimosa....but, I suppose it all depends where one's mind is at at the time....

Earthy! Yes.I agree there!
It does have a gentler feel than the blast off anxiety creating effect of mimosa...!
But my experiance so far is from vaping ACACIA...Smile

How about brewing 3 grams acrb powder into a tea.. because the brewing [boiling] may release more alcoloids??

Starway6, my experience lasted generally as long as the Syrian Rue dose lasted, so about 3 to 4 hours from come up till come down. Though i did have something weird happen when i mixed Lemon Balm tea with the Acacia-Rue, it seemed to lengthen the duration of the experience 2 hours longer than usual.

And naw, i've never tried taking just the Acacia, as i like to get the most out of my supplies and to me DMT without an MAOI is a complete waste, it's so short lasting and while indeed powerful, there's much more to DMT than a full on holy shit dose, which is why i myself tend to stick with only oral DMT from now on and i keep the dosages within the low to moderate range, as most people usually only need a full on high dose rarely.

As for Acacia spice vs. Mimosa spice, IME the several times i've made Changa, with both Acacia and Mimosa, the Mimosa was def. more heavy in feeling and usually had a rapid come up, while the Acacia Confusa seemed more gentle and slower coming up. Plus the headspace does seem different between the two, can't really describe the feeling though, just different....[

Thanks much for all these good reports on acrb!

How ..[[visual]].. was oral acrb experiance with rue seed?

Was the nausea very strong with oral acrb..causing a perg?
Did the oral acrb experiance cause the intense rapid heart rate that has been reported with mimosa spice? [or was that non existant]?

So it apears that the oral acrb experiance was even more mellower the smoked mimosa experiance with much less anxiety?

Wikipedia hilariously describes one of the uses of acacia confusa as:

"Its uses include chemical products, environmental management and food and drink. The bark may be grinded up into a powder and saturated into water to create a tea, or may be spread onto various foods as a spice and taste enhancer..."

Wow, AC used as a spice and spread onto food, what a gnarly home dinner that would be.
Meditate before you venture, take it seriously, use it as medicinal—it is good psychotherapy if needed. Realize that you, the Earth, others, and the Universe are all one and the same process. Then take that knowledge back to become, as you already are, one with nature. Eternity in every moment. Divinity in every particle. All is one organism.

Starway6, Acacia Confusa and Syrian Rue to me, does seem more visual than Mimosa Hostilis and Syrian Rue, and the visuals at least the visuals i see aren't really things i can describe all that well but it's like i see flashes of imagery including what appear to be figures/entities, eyes, numbers, symbols, snakes, with closed eyes... and flashes of light and colors with open eyes.

As for the nausea, it was minor, not really an issue, but then again i do smoke Cannabis so that helps as well. And plus Lemon Balm helps with stomach issues so that's partly why i've been adding it to my Aya/Pharma here lately.

The intense heart rate thing was there, but to me it didn't seem as strong as it is with Mimosa.

And as for anxiety from Acacia, you can indeed still get anxiety from Acacia, DMT is DMT no matter the source, and DMT imo/ime makes people shaky even just thinking about taking it lol, but yes DMT can cause anxiety no matter the source, but there are of course ways to calm oneself down anxiety wise during an Aya/Pharma experience ime. Though the anxiety factor is one of the reasons i'm looking to plants with anxiolytic properties to mix with Aya/Pharma, in an effort to make a smooth flowing, anxiety/distress free experience.

But i've found out that by doing an egg white tannin removal on the Acacia Confusa brew, and freezing/thawing/filtering the brew pretty well, will result in a completely tasteless Acacia Confusa tea when mixed with other herbal teas, like for instance Lemon Balm.

Hi starway6, I'm sure that brewing the confusa is more efficient at extracting the alkaloids, but that wasn't the purpose of the experiment, it was purely to see if it was active without brewing, and without MOAI. And 5g powder in this form produced only threshold effects for me, but in combination with MAOI's it produced impressive results. It's interesting to encounter a DMT source plant which doesn't require brewing to become active, and at the dose I used it was well tolerated with no signs of toxicity. I thought it was worthy of a self experiment or two. Acacia confusa root bark is definitely a very rich source of DMT and NMT and it seems to me like a really interesting plant worthy of exploration.

Sabnock ..
Ive never tryed oral DMT yet.. but ive vaped plenty of Acacia spice and never noticed much more than [raised pulse]...[never a pounding heart rate that would alarm me..
Also never tryed ..syrian rue seed..
I expect this may be partly because of anxiety...
Does Rue seed make one feel mildly sick to stomach..or is it very mild effect causing purging?
I only have cappi leafe i used in ..changa acacia mix..
Ill have to order some Rue seed just trying to learn what to expect with oral acacia experiance...
Is smoked acacia similar to oral experiance to some degree?
Ive read much claiming the oral DMT experiance milder than the vaped method?
In what way is oral method milder than vaping method in your opinion?
thanks..

Has anyone else taken acacia bark via gel caps with a MAOI?

For brewing (for an individual experience)
it seems that around 13grams are used but
I have seen referenced a combined dosage of 3 grams of
material swallowed in gel cap form. Does this seem correct?

For some reason it just doesn't make that much sense to me
that you would brew that much bark when you could just
swallow 3 grams of bark.

Anyone else have any thoughts or experiences traveling this way?

Starway6, yes the Rue seed will def. make you purge, however it's all dose related. I can take 3 to 3.5 grams of Rue seed only feel slight nausea, rarely purge. With 4 to 4.5 grams of Rue seed, i'll def. purge.

Oral Acacia compared to vaped/smoked Acacia is def. milder but that's not to say it's weaker or less intense, remember, it's all dose related, you can have an extremely intense oral experience or you can have a more comfortable type of experience with a lower dosage. As for how oral DMT compares to smoked DMT, i'm sure there are a good few threads around that go more in depth about this subject, however i will say that when you take DMT orally with the Harmalas, it really is the Harmalas that make all the difference in the world.

Voyaj, i've taken Mimosa Hostilis, always, in capsules. I've recently tried Acacia Confusa in capsules and it works all the same ime. The only thing though, is the tannins in the bark will dry you out causing a dry mouth and possibly some stomach discomfort (after all, you're swallowing powdered bark). And yes, ime 3 to 5 grams is a good starting point as when MAO-A is fully inhibited, 3 to 5 grams of good Acacia Confusa root bark is more than enough ime/imo, but one could always work themselves up to higher dosages.

And now instead of taking capsules of bark, i myself have started to brew Acacia Confusa into a tea and using the egg white tannin removal process to make a clean/clear translucent orangey red tea that is tasteless so far when mixed with an herbal tea like Lemon Balm, though i'm sure it would be just as tasteless mixed with any other drink i would think, or even on it's own it might still be tasteless.
