In the midst of powerful DMT experiences, there is a fear of letting go of familiar ways of looking at reality. There is fear for, perhaps "going insane", and not ever returning to functioning in society. If you dismiss all former concepts, all fear, and go as deep into the rabbit hole as it lets you.

What will reality look like after this?

I believe you will always come back, no matter how deep you go. I've experienced ego death and was separated from my body...studied my body from a few feet away and decided it was a good model. Then, off to truth, then, back to my body. Now, I've never smoked before, or combined it with acid, so my experiences may be quite different than yours. I know I will try to go much deeper the next time I drink that wonderful brew, and I'll go without fear. I do not believe it's possible to "go insane" by using dmt. Just my 2cents

*edit* I'm not suggesting folks should get crazy with high doses of dmt...I'm just saying I don't believe it will cause harm in high doses. This is only my opinion and not backed up by anything other than a trust I have with it. I plan to triple the amount of goodies the next time I brew (waiting on material). I have no fear with this decision. Again...just my opinion

You will end up somewhere else, but Smile suspect there are many other holes to explore.

I think if you smoke the right dose it doesn't matter if you are afraid of letting go Twisted Evil . That being said smoking to high of dose doesn't seem to lead you further down the rabbit hole, seems to prevent it actually. From my experiences I have gone totally insane, and forgot my humanity entirely, but only for a short amount of time, eventually its comes back.

I have felt as if I broke all of reality, yet I return and things are as normal as ever. So like many questions I think only you can really answer that question, because what my reality looks like from "the other side" is likely not going to be the same as what yours looks like.

I used to fear going so deep that i would never return or that the effects would become permanent and that hyperspace would never go away. I've had some times where it lingered for a day or two after but the good news from my own extensive experience is that you always come back to normal. I find that the real issue is what your left with after some intense trips. I mean the things witnessed, felt and experienced and how you choose to deal with them. Integrating a radical shift in your perception of reality can take time and its not always easy.

My own realization that I will always return to normal has allowed me a certain freedom to let go and explore deeper and much more easily. I have much less fear as well. I believe its something you have to discover for yourself though. It comes over time with a somewhat regular and dissiplined approach.

The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.

I am not necessarily talking about very strong doses. In my experience, usually when combined with LSD, vaping DMT, will take me to this place. A place where I find I must consider deeply if I can accept the way I am experiencing life at that moment as the truth. At the point there is a feeling that I am risking my "sanity" if I accept this way of sensing.

It feels like it would be unresponsible for me to accept it wholeheartedly as true without first consulting the beings closest to me and telling them that if I do so, there is a possibility the person they know me as, might just be a distant shadow in their memory.

I love you

The fear has flooded me for awhile. Its been about six months since my last journey. I get there and I am convinced it's real.....and that I am a dog caught in traffic ready to get smashed by forces I do not fully understand. Though after reading some of your responses my courage is building to explore once again.....I want to see it all. It's my love and attachment for this plane of existence that is blocking me.
