been lurking the board for at least a year now, finally decided to hop into the pool and offer the words that will, essentially, decide themselves. language is but tool for communication, and without the ability to exchange my thoughts for yours, i would simply continue to just lurk the board. as a fellow human being, however, i acknowledge the divinity within thine eye Rolling eyes and have decided that it may be fruitful to others, maybe even to myself, to start making posts here as a full member like the rest. Hello JetAgeTomorrow,

Welcome to the Nexus. I'm always happy to see a long-term lurker sign up for membership and join our ever-growing family, Smile.

Is there anything else you'd like to share? I am always curious about psychedelic experience, whether you've tried DMT, extracted it, etc.?

Even though you are a long-term lurker, I would encourage you to maybe take a new look around. There have been some really amazing recent changes around this place. Very happy.

I do hope you will choose to become an active poster/Member and again welcome you to membership in the Nexus.

SWIM has yet to taste the spice, but the spice is quite rapidly attempting to meet SWIM. SWIM recently made himself the infamous 'Key v2' for use on his water pipe and now all it needs is spice.

SWIM tried Salvia a couple of times in the past few years, his first time being the most intense trip he has experienced. The only time he could say that it was a positive experience was in a group with about 4 others. They each put themselves into positive, meditative states before consuming but they literally packed a piece full of it, would take a hit, and pass it to the next person. Heard this was not good to do but literally everyone there had a positive experience. Not sure if SWIM ever wants to try it again as it appears that the benefits are not much.

SWIM took a 120mg of rock shard MDMA pressed into a pill at Zuma Beach in the summertime this year and it helped him in the ways he had previously heard about it helping others.

Welcome JetAgeTomorrow! Would you mind elaborating on the ways that MDMA helped you? I love hearing people's stories about their experiences regarding the therapeutic potential of psychoactive/psychedelic drugs. Personally, I have had phenomenal results in my past from using psychedelics as therapeutic tools to aid me in defeating heroin addiction, anxiety, and depression; along with nihilistic spiritual and perceptional issues. Even after witnessing results in my self and others for years, I am still astonished by the massive potential for personal growth that these sacred plants and molecules can have on a person! Smile

Well I have spent the last year listening to endless hours of Terrence McKenna, Sasha Shulgin, Alan Watts, etc. lectures just to hear their varied, well-educated opinions of the psychedelic experience, the natures of the compounds, and the integration of it all into daily living.

One can only hear so much before becoming convinced to follow through in self-experience with certain descriptions from others, especially for my own self when it's coming from people who put to shame many of the 'adults' that I looked up to and sought life advice from whom would be terrified and not even bother to hear out, let alone dispute anything discussed.

SWIM had been aware of MDMA usage among many, many of his peers as it is probably the most popular drug, aside from cannabis, in his location of the world. having been sheltered at a young age though, spending almost the entirety of his first experience with cannabis feeling hopelessly guilty and paranoid for having consumed the drug and wondering what his parents would think of him, and what if; WHAT IF that cannabis never wore off? he would now be known as a person (the FIRST person, as his friends tried to explain to him) who had become mentally handicapped from ONE INTRODUCTORY smoking session. was there already a mental handicap preventing him from doing other things with his life that would one day be chipped away at with MDMA? maybe. did he get way too stoned for his first experience with cannabis? more than likely.

anyhow. SWIM's MDMA experience turned from a nice "this is cool! kind of feels like a clean crossfade of thc and alcohol" to a "holy shit this sand has been here FOREVER". then the ocean waves seemed to call him out. he would walk so that he was shin-deep in the water, looking out, inevitably hopping around like an adult baby who had never been to the beach before, or even shin-deep in a bed of water period before! after that recess had ended, he would continue to stare out at the massive energy protruding ocean for another half hour to an hour longer; the sun in the sky obviously the more important energy-holding figure but looking at the ocean being much, much more emotional. SWIM's mother has not died yet, nor has he had any children, but SWIM would say that he felt what he predicts to be the amount sadness he will feel at the time of his mother's inevitable death, along with the feeling of love and amazement he will feel when he sees his first child born, all at one. the sadness though, seemed to be slipping through the invisible grips of the ego. going off of all of this, in addition to applying a lot of the various physics and astronomical factoids that he had been learning about in the previous few years, many fucked up circuits seems to have been realigned to update this older-bodied SWIM. he went back to his towel on the sand and listened to a playlist picked by an experienced user, which was pretty much light trip-hop/house beats. not only were the next few hours in the sand humbling as the roll was now peaking hard in the body, but the knowledge that SWIM is not the only one who has experienced this drug and in fact many of his peers had (and he had toxically compared himself to them for so long before) the forgiveness of so many wrongs which had been done to SWIM seemed to almost automatically occur. not even too much mental focus necessary.

in short, he believes that this mental humbling helped him forgive many of the people who had done wrong to him; he, now better than ever, saw how insignificant many of these acts were. while obviously insignificant to the wrongdoers, he now understood that these wrongs really did nothing to him as far as hindering any future endeavors he would so choose to take on, and that focusing energy on past situations like this was his own choice from the very beginning of his conscious life.

a few months later he would work up the courage to see a clinical psychologist, who would perform multiple EMDR (google it) sessions with him. he now feels more mentally clear than he has ever felt in his life. he is even on week four of a break from cannabis, which in the past 3 years he has used via medical marijuana certification heavily, albeit taking good long breaks here and there.

oh and for the record, SWIM was never that big of a fan of modern day edm. he has new allowed room for a completely new genre of music to become a fan of however, and thinks this in itself was humbling.

That's really interesting. I can very much relate to the part when you mention your feelings towards EDM changing. Before I began to discover the potential of psychedelic drugs, I strictly listened to death metal and punk rock, and I wrote off all other types of music as garbage (especially the increasingly popular dubstep/EDM). But once I began to develop some interest and experience with psychedelics, my taste for music broadened tremendously. I still love punk rock, death metal, and many other of the more abrasive genres; but now I also regularly listen to electronic music, folk, and bluegrass as well as many other types of music. I still have preferences as far as what I choose to listen to, but at this point I can still appreciate most any music even if I don't particularly care for it. The only exception is when I get the impression that an artist isn't really putting much passion into their music. For example, a lot of pop music seems to me to just be designed as a catchy-sounding money maker. But even then I don't necessarily go out of my way to be disrespectful to the artists or the listeners.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Thumbs up

so SWIM made The Key V2 (also utilizing a concentrate pad meant for a Volcano Vaporizer) and used it with some spice. two experiences to share thus far.

first of all, the scale SWIM used to weigh his doses out does not seem to be accurate! so the doses were eyeballed.

setting: backyard, alone. a mozart compilation emitting from the speakers of his phone.

first experience - the grass and the vines lining the walls and the big bushes emitting from the earth were definitely trying to communicate with SWIM. SWIM has had many friends tell him that while on psilocybin trips that the grass and trees were waving directly to them. SWIM can now attest to this experience from his first, small dose. light and nice.

second experience (right after the first) - SWIM took The Key V2 out of the bong he had purchased for use on the key. the bong was not useful. he decided to just use the key as a pipe. one single, long drawn out hit. the psychedelic imagery came flooding, not too much to retell as it was definitely fleeting, but the chair in front of him had intricate designs on it and it appeared to turn into a bug's face, with two dots perfectly placed to look like eyes. the OEV was a lot to take in so he shut his eyes. more patterns to see with eyes closed however a face similar to the chair's face but much more crystal clear was the only thing to focus on with eyes closed. the face looked very bug like, very similar to a bee's or perhaps the moth which would explain the (now SWIM understands what everyone refers to as) taste of mothballs. very alien-like. also, definitely feminine. holy sh*t. SWIM assumes this is the same Mama Ayahuasca he has so heard referred to, only emanating straight from the very very white Spice he acquired. super intense but SWIM felt the purity of its love. after this all SWIM could think of was how horrible the Spice tasted so he got up from his chair to "la purga" anything which would whence forced from his innards. luckily for the acid-sensitive throat which connected his stomach to his mouth, nothing emerged...

the mozart out of the iphone definitely helped carry the entire experience, from the pre-smoking meditation to the post-trip comedown. awesome music selection. SWIM will experiment with other genres in the future.

that's it for now, but there is quite a lot of Spice left in the baggie, and there's probably more Spice remaining in The Key un-vaporized. until next time Big grin
