I have a torch lighter which works fine with vapor genie, but I've read that inhaling butane can be harmful to health in the long run.

It just ran out of gas and I started using a standard bic which doesn't seem to heat as efficiently or as quickly as the torch lighter. And I basically just feel sick as hell now after inhaling all of that gas and virtually no melted spice.

I've looked around for lighter alternatives and did find a thread containing a 'Dremel Versatip Lighter' which is basically just hot air.

It costs around £30, but I'm willing to make that investment if it's hot enough to vape dmt.

Or if inhaling butane say once every 2 weeks for a few months is fine then I'm just gonna stick with my torch lighter.

Any thoughts? The dmt is good for me but harmful chemicals from cheap lighters make me ill.
Everything I say is actually false and I'm not real.

I don't see what the problem is. So long as the lighter is lit, you can't be inhaling straight butane ?

that's what I thought, but I've been told you're basically inhaling at least some of the butane. I've heard of hemp wicks but thats absolute extreme.

The bic lighter definitely made me feel ill for about 15 minutes though, I guess solvent abuse is bad.

Oh well I just bought some butane for my torch lighter, never gave me any difficulties before. I'm still curious as to whether the hot air lighter is hot enough to vape dmt

The fuel used in bic lighters is butane too. Butane in a torch lighter blasts out even faster so there is a higher chance of uncombusted fuel getting past the flame. What source informed you that fuel can leak past unconsumed in a normal lighter ? It seems pretty unlikely. Are you sure there were not other factors at play that made you feel funny afterwards? perhaps just the DMT itself which varies from time to time or maybe some impurity?
