Hello!

This is an introduction to my step by step guide on growing MH from seed! I hope anyone who has any questions asks them, and I will give the best answer I can, or provide links to a place where you can find the answers. So let's get started...

I have about 500 seeds bagged up. I have quite a few full grwn trees in my yard from which I harvested (check the background of my avatar that is one of my beauties). I started out with 10 seeds. I chose not to scarify them. I put them into a pan of water and set the heat to HI. Once the water was at a rolling boil for 10-15 seconds, I took the pan off the burner and allowed it to sit overnight. The seeds were about double the size the next morning.

After my seeds were swollen I got 2 paper towels, and put 5 seeds in each. I completely saturated the paper towels with HOT water. I folded the paper towels to make sure the seeds had plenty of water to absorb. I then placed those paper towels in a ziplock bag, and placed the bag at my kitchen sink window sill. Everyday I checked to see if anything was happening.

After about 5 days only one of my five seeds showed signs of life. I took that baby out and dug into a soiled pot roughly a half inch and sprinkled some soil on top of the seed and lightly pressed down to "pack" the soil and set the seed. after 1 week of this I see the root has formed and my plant is on the verge of sprouting. I will check back in once it fully sprouts and let you know what I did between now, and then.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!
