I read the other day when reading a book on infinity that someone had formulated a mathematic proof that proved that within any system of mathematics there would be paradoxes that were impossible to resolve. I mean... a proof, of something that seems so unmathematical? In maths?

Really I believe this goes hand in hand with the hard time physicists are having marrying Einstein's relativity with Quantum Mechanics. Relativity breaks down inside singularities anyway and Quantum Mechanics is so bizarre I remember my university astrophysics lecturer saying to the class, "if you think you understand it, you probably don't!".

When will the top mathematicians and physicists realise that "God" is having a joke with them. Two of the most complicated cosmic jokes ever conceived!

PS: and most high end maths and physics visualisations look like the inside of a psytrance rave too!

could you post the books name ?

also could you post the mathematic proof and a little more of what you're talking about , strictly in the context of mathematics
illusions !, there are no illusions
there is only that which is the truth

I believe he's referring to Godel's Incompleteness Theorem, which boils down to the fact that all formal mathematical systems are either incomplete or inconsistent. And this has indeed been proven, but it should be intuitive that a model cannot satisfactorily be proven using tennents of the model itself, and thus it is either unprovable or paradoxical (which is my extremely naive interpretation of the theorem).

Pseudocoloring. Such simulations are designed by physicists. The simulations, and the theoretical models they are based off of, come from the imagination of humans, not that of God.

Also, your astrophysics (or was it QM) professor was wrong. Quantum mechanics is not hard to understand. It's actually incredibly simple conceptually, and I can't imagined why a teacher would make such a claim. Quantum mechanics is a model conceived of by humans, so obviously there is nothing to it that is inconceivable in principle. It is irresponsible of your professor to convey physics in such a way. He apparently doesn't understand QM, so he conveys it as mystical esoterica to his students...? He should just stick to astro.

Maybe the cosmic joke is that there is nothing of what we speculate true what-so-ever..... nothing, its all just a fluke as to how we became aware of ourselves yet we are not aware at all thoughts are merely a biproduct of biological organisation. Language is merely a way to make sense of this chaos.
Maybe a piece of steel is aware and has thoughts however doesnt have the capability to organise them into an organised structure?
Probably not Very happy

I think god lols every time a superimposed wave collapses.

Capra's 'The Tao of Physics' is a book that discusses how researchers working in the quantum world have turned to eastern mysticism to get the answers to a lot of their questions and paradoxes. It's a great read, not overly-complicated, and pretty inspiring to see that not everyone in science has closed off their mind to new ideas.

I do know on the anatomical level, most things we know about particles and quantum mechanics are bound by the heisenberg uncertainty principle... which, in itself is more of a mathematical observation of inconsistency that's an inextricable part of a lot of those higher-complexity formulas. So, long story short, the foundation of quantum mechanics is grounded in mathematical mystery and uncertainty to begin with, teeming with endless possibilities Big grin
