So SWIM just performed his 5th extraction, all he uses is Cybs salt tek because of the outstanding results it delivers.

50mg of A.Confusa was used as that is what he always uses. Naphtha as the NPS, de-ionized water, non-iodized salt, lye pellets for the base, and vinegar for the acid.

5 pulls of 50ml of Naphtha each got their own glass dish and have been in the freezer for roughly 30 hours.

There is plenty of crystal formation, but this time, unlike any other previous time, there is also a very whispy stringlike white goo that floats suspended in the naphtha. I cant even explain it haha. Just picture jelly fish tentacles almost, but more fragile and stringy.

The only thing different this time compared to the others is that a glass baster and a glass pippette with a rubber bulb were used. Swim always used a Stainless steel baster previously with smaller plastic pippettes for when the naptha level gets too low to use the strong suction of a baster. Bought the glass baster just to make it easier to see and the glass pippette was used to attempt to replace the plastic he was using due to reading how potentially bad plastic is.

Has anyone ever had this whispy/stringy white goo in their dishes suspended in the naphtha? It definitely smells correct. But its just...odd, because the ONLY variables are the two suction devices mentioned above and SWIM has never seen this before.

I have gotten this white floating stuff you describe a few times...I don't know why it happens either but I have seen what you speak of...I believe its dmt just not in high enough concentrationg to freeze out..unfortunately it stays in the naptha and once it gets room temp it dissolves again O.o all I've ever been able to do with it is evap it.
I know that is not helpful I just wanted to let you know I've seen the same thing! (:

It's probably a combination of DMT/NMT, otherwise it would crystalize. I have seen this before and it is nothing to worry about.

I think you need to get the solution more saturated. You have to evaporate some naptha. Ime the more saturated the more precipitates it seems.

If I were you id probably poor the naptha with the stringy stuff into another vessel and evaporate it down quite a bit before I would put it back in the freezer.

i always see this on my ACRB extractions when my NPS is evaping. Its just swaths of DMT and whatever else you pulled. I was always told once you reduce the NPS down enough, you can blow on it and you will see white milky precipitate form in the solvent.

I will try the evapping down part, but the weird part really, I suppose, is tha the dish did have a lottttt of xtals as well. It was just in one corner that the whispy strands were hanging out.

it really sounds like you are describing swaths of whispy milky stuff in the solvent which is exactly what i see when the fan is blowing on the solvent (to evap it) and it gets super reduced and full of dmt.

it will be all clear goo when its all evap'd, scrape it up, it will prolly be reddish oil. scrape it and smear it like 5 times. it should begin to harden. if you do a sodium carbonate wash on it then i bet you end up with a light tan crumbly wax.

Plant fats and waxes will eventually come out in the freezer.

Cannabis people do it on there concentrate extracts it is called winterising and they whack the extract in the freezer for a few days and then filter the fat/wax out.

Usually it takes longer than for the spice to precipitate but if you leave it there for long enough you will see what I mean.
