I am in the middle of doing a rue extract and am not sure if after I filter,
using a coffee filter, how to get the goods off the filter? Do I wait for it to dry, immerse the whole thing back in water or solution, or scrape it off, I feel as though scraping it off I am losing alot of goods.
Please excuse me if I am asking something really stupid, this is my first extract ever
only other thing I can make is hot dogs.

It actually depends on the stage of the extraction you are in.

If what you filtered are the freebase harmalas and it's not yet the final step (if you are going to clean them further through additional filtering or manske) you can put the filter with the freebase harmalas inside of a water+vinegar solution to redissolve them. If you are in your final step (you don't wish to clean the alkaloids further) you can leave the filter drying, and then scoop the freebase harmalas once they are dry and scraping them is much easier.

Thank you I was doing and additional manske. I actually did dip the filter in but it felt as though I just screwed everything up, like the filter was actually sucking up and not letting go off the freebase. I then proceeded to squeeze everything I could out the filter. Thank you once again for reply Vodsel.
