Interdasting! Thanks for that, makes perfect sense. For what it's worth I've had a number of experiences where I "actually died" in my days... 2 of which I'm too young to remember (45 mins of clinically brain dead before the age of 4) and a couple due to extreme intoxication or physical sickness; popped out into the void once when really sick. Was interesting, but here we are, and here I am, so the way I look at it is still in the game, glad to be playing it Smile

When you say 'load it with tryptamines' do you mean like... ingesting foods containing tryptamines at the same time (e.g. cheese)? Is it acceptable practice to actually introduce tryptamines on purpose, in order to intensify an experience? If so, what do people normally ingest?

In reguards to diet..I don't follow any thing about not eating pork etc. I don't do "maoi diets" and personally I am one of the people who is very skeptical of such claims. I eat clean always. I only drink wild spring water, eat freerange organic animal products, organic produce etc..I make nearly everything I eat myself from scratch and I use a lot of wild herbs from my area. I dunno if that means anything for you.

Nice diet. We (my wife and I) eat healthily and choose organic/free range/local produce where we can, but often we cannot. Still, we are planning a big vegetable garden, that should help! We don't eat anything canned, we only use Himalayan salt. We don't have sugar in the house. I very rarely eat carbs, mainly it's just raw salad and the fresher cheeses, fish or meat. And sun dried fruits, fresh fruits, powdered wheatgrass, wild honey... I don't drink coffee or tea either, I only drink hot or cold water.

We drink tap water, but it goes through 4 filters before we do, and it seems OK. My favorite bottled water is from a well-known (in these parts) natural spring water from Georgia. Even the bog standard bottled water from round here comes from a very clean natural source on a nearby island.

When I say I did 7 days while dieting..I mean 7 days of ayahuasca eating nothing and living on fresh fruit and vegetable juices, herbal teas and spring water. It is not for the faint of heart, to say the least..and sometimes fasting like that can actually make the tea weaker...and you. You need the energy to deal with the higher level experiences IME. Going into these experiences while tired, hungry and weak is not ideal for me.

I've done a bit of juice fasting before and some dry fasting too. My wife is actually an expert in fasting - she has done a month fast before and a week dry (no fluids at all, not even a shower or brushing teeth).

On the first experience I fasted for 24h I think it was, and when I came to take the Aya, I was pretty much clapped out. Then I remember someone on the Nexus chat mentioning in passing that two modes of altered states of consciousness don't mix well together (starvation definitely makes me go into an altereed state), and it kind of makes sense, intuitively.

WAIT... you did 7 days of Aya? Like 7 times Aya in 7 days? Crikey, that must have been exhausting indeed.

jamie wrote:
Rue does feel more sharp or clear to me usually..which is not what some others say. 7 grams of rue is a lot..the stuff can have a stronger kick to it than caapi at times..going from 3.5g to 7 is not suggested. 7 grams should be safe, physically..but its a lot of rue. Up the dose by 1 gram at a time. Adding a bit of rue to your caapi is good also, but make sure you know the doses of each when you combine them or you can really get your ass kicked.

Excellent, thanks. I'm not sure what I'll do next time yet, but it'll either be 4.5g rue, or 100g caapi (THP-ed, should be very strong) with a little rue in it. And maybe I'll do 15g chaliponga, since I could definitely go further than 10.

DMT=Dimethyltryptamine

Tyramine is a naturally occurring monoamine compound and trace amine derived from the amino acid tyrosine. Tyramine acts as a catecholamine releasing agent, and is generally to be avoided with ingestion of MAO inhibitors. (that's why fermented foods/cheeses r to be avoided and the aya diet is a general safety guideline)

Okayyy. Thanks. Very happy I totally misread it and thought he was talking about folks taking tyramine food source on purpose to boost the intensity of the experience.

Yesterday: 4.5g syrian rue, 15g chaliponga. 3x30m boils for each. 20m ingestion spacing. Diet had been good in the run-up, and last food was ~5h before.

Less nausea than usual from the medicine, but a very powerful purge after 1h20m.

Amazingly, I felt completely straight the whole time! Not one hallucination, vision, voice, insight. Just... 100% straight!

After 2h I ate some crackers and porridge and went to bed. Today I have had no 'hangover'.

My wife was due to take some caapi, but she developed the flu.

Hi BC Smile

Thanks, I'll read that thread when I get back later. Right now I've just logged in to post last night's experience report.

Week prior: Super clean diet, no sexual actvity, OK health (a very low-level cold-like virus maybe), mental state excellent.

Last food and drink 4h prior.

- 100g yellow caapi (3x3hr boils with vinegar)
- 20g chaliponga (3x1hr boils with vinegar)

After cooking separately I mixed them together and reduced to 3 shot glasses.

T: 2 shot glasses (note to self: make sure brew is cool enough before drinking!)
T+15: Remaining shot glass
T+30: OEVs and CEVs start (very rapid onset, relatively)
T+50: Purge
T+2h: Baseline
T+2h30m: Ravenously hungry - ate 3 crackers with butter, boiled buckwheat, steamed fish and an egg!

Once again a pretty short experience, and despite doubling the dose I didn't find it any more powerful than the last.

The caapi didn't seem to have such a sedative effect on me. Didn't really have many visions, but lots of visuals (the usual energy lines/flows, fractals, geometry, information/matrix-style signs and so on). The small number of visions I did have were quite abstract. My balance was severely affected and I became very cold - had to be in bed with a jumper and a hat on (outside temp was about 0c, inside temp about 22c).

I think I'll give chaliponga a rest and use this chakruna I've got next time. I read Peter Gorman's 'Ayahuasca in my Blood' book and he used chakruna all the time and his experiences are really super different from mine - plenty of entities, powerful and immersive visions, remote viewing and so on. I'm very keen to get a taste of some of that sort of thing.

PS that makes 8 doses I've had. And my wife plans to try 50g caapi sometime in the next few days.

Thanks corto; thread was locked, but I would still absolutely love to hear your feedback and any insights you would be willing to provide; I'll see if I can at the very least PM a moderator to have your thoughts included in the thread if you wish.

Also caapi does tend to impact balance in larger doses; the trick is to move and walk around slower when you do have to walk around. Just listen to own body and work within realistic limits of the situation

edit-regarding the fungus, maybe it's best just left alone, I feel like the point that needed to be made was made, thanks tho

Since last posting, MHRB arrived and a Q21Q21 extraction performed (fluffy white funfest) by a close friend.

My wife also tried 50g caapi for the first time.

First DMT freebase experience had last night (sub-breakthrough).

Tonight will be drinking 50g Caapi + freebase-in-orange-juice!

Hi thecrystal kid, Smile

I'm not sure why BC posted the videos he did in this thread, which was started by me to document my ayahuasca experiences.

Perhaps your experience would be better suited in its own top level post? It'll probably get lost way down in this thread.

In any case BC is no longer a member of the site, I thought I'd let you know...

My wife wanted to try Caapi and had a small but welcome healing experience.

A few weeks later she then took a dose of Ayahuasca (50g caapi, 7g chaliponga), but felt very ill the whole night (purging and moaning the entire tme) and was not physically comfortable for a few days afterwards too. No beneficial effects took place, apparently. She doesn't want to try it again! Neutral

I then did a DMT extraction and made an Aya + DMT freebase in OJ experiment, which wasn't pleasant.

I've then started to focus more on DMT freebase, but I'll come back to Aya for sure! Smile
