Hey man, sorry to hear your first experience was less than ideal.
There are several things here, but the first and foremost is-be careful with your meds. At the very least, research the pharm you are on and it's withdrawal potential. Some carry quite a severe risk if you don't titrate down your dose. I don't take SSRIs myself, I cannot tolerate them and use more ehem, natural methods of serotonin regulation, but my partner does, and I've seen her go thru hell when stopping suddenly for some reason.
And yeah, they can kill tryptamines and make rolling impossible. It sucks for my sweetie, and me, I love tripping with her. We haven't found a reliable dose for her, so we quit trying until she has titrated and feels stable. I'd recommend the same precaution to you. The withdrawal effects from SSRIs include returning, worsened depression that can include suicidal ideation. Don't play with your mental health any more than you would say, your heart.
So be careful there. And if I made it sound like I know alot about the subject, I don't, but there is a plethora of info here and elsewhere on the internet, do yourself a favor and research, for your health.
Asfor the experience,I kinda chuckled at the creepy electronic music-oh yeah, I know what you mean. When i hear that alien tune begin to play, I knew the hyper space veil has been breached and"they"are here. And yeah, it can be very unsettling. (especially for a dude that actually abhors the genre and prefers tube amplifiers and electric guitars-sorry-.) On one of my first powerful experiences with smoked DMT I became terrified in a similar fashion at the instant transmission of something into my space, heralded by that freaking music-

I think it was my first encounter with the so-called elves, and I fought off the DMT as much I could, until I could get up and run down the hall into the shower, where Ihid till the effects wore off. I regret that trip, because of the lost potential, but I learned from it.
There's always going to be anticipation, mixed with fear at the outset of aDMT trip. There should be- this is powerful stuff. I find that a good period of meditation before lift off, relaxing my mind, letting the concern of the day go, and fixing my consciousness on an intent helps me greatly. Focus on what you want. You'll more than likely forget all about it, but look at it like your about to see the genie, and have a wish. What would your consciousness most like to explore today? After a while, you'll find the fear dissipates.
As for burning smoke in the lungs, yes more than likely smoking technique. Many people here prefer a certain type if pipe, you'll see it mentioned, but being poor and gifted with the ability to smoke anything out of anything, I use a sandwich method of mullien,DMT,mullien in a glass bong, dry. Mullien is an herb that is inert psychoactively but is very easy to smoke, it is used in teas to soothe asthma. Weed really screws with the DMTtrip, making it muddled and pretty much useless, that seems to be the majority opinion, not just mine, do check out the mullien. It's easily and cheaply obtainable in a store that sells herbs and remedies. Check the smoking subforum for tips on how to smoke. It shouldn't burn, it shouldn't taste bad, it should be flowery, frankly, and sweet.
Anyway, happy trails to you brother, and seriously, don't go jumping off your meds to trip. A DMT experience can be life changing, can be life shattering. If you are in a kickback depression from stopping your meds when the fabric of reality is torn from the face of the universe, it could have tragic consequences, and I'm not trying to be funny. Peace to you.
