I'm also confronted with nature-based themes when I smoke changa. As if the plants, the planet itself, is screaming for mercy. I really feel what you're saying there.
Maybe we shouldn't be labeling it tree-huggery when it's the trees and the plants and everything on it that sustains us. Although I did enjoy that term

Perhaps that's exactly what we're doing with these plants...learning to
feel from the perspective of the earth. I firmly believe that these plants we imbibe give us direct communication with the earth itself. These chemicals are how the plants mitigate their relationship with their environment.
It's just if we'll choose to hear the message and act on it.
Thanks dioxippus, glad you enjoyed.
I believe that it's the harmalas, as this experience lasted longer as well. This dose was from a small second batch of changa I made with the alkaloids of caapi leaf soaked in 99% iso for nearly two months (as opposed to the 3 day soak of my first batch). This was my first time with this second batch and it was distinctly different than the more abstract/'alien' experiences I've gotten with less harmala-rich blends. This one had a sense of smoothness, as if the edges were dulled down, but just as intricately woven.
It was between "tree-huggery" and "hippy-ism", decided on the former

Ahh that's a really interesting point. Perhaps a way for the plants/the 'spirit' of Life to communicate their feelings/emotions to us

Fun thought to ponder. So many theories, so few answers... though I've come to learn that's how it goes with this stuff. One that
olympus mon has said, that I agree with, is that it's an intelligence of some kind, and as I have more and more of these experiences the more I'm convinced of this.
Hopefully in time more people will genuinely care about what's happening to the planet. Time will tell, I suppose.
