And so I prepared for an undoubtedly strange and other-wordly experience, "Thanks to the universe, deep breaths, peace, love, respect".... walked the path down to the lake... deep breath in.... deep breath out.... ready....
Inhalation of the smoke, close my eyes and WHAM! Straight there, lying on my back, inside a huge translucent orb, me at it's centre, bright white light, and my mouth filling with something strange.... filling.... filling.... filling.... my body no longer existing other than my eyes watching.... and my mouth filling.... as if a balloon was being rapidly inflated within it.... only not balloon shaped.... instead a perfect sphere.... and this time it was ok.... well actually it was strange beyond belief.... but I was okay with that.... just hold it in my mouth.... and when my mouth was full.... fuller than i thought it could be..... BANG!.... in a flash there was something inside this sphere.... not a solid sphere.... but like a lattice-work sphere inflated inside my mouth so much so that there was room for nothing else outside it's walls.... and inside that sphere a living thing.... furiously beating it's wings... it had four wings... butterfly like.... but like a half organic, half mechanical butterfly.... INSIDE A LATTICE-WORK SPHERE! INSIDE MY MOUTH!.... There was no way to swallow it as I'd been instructed on my previous journey to swallow the flower in my mouth..... so instead I opened my mouth, thinking that perhaps it wished to get out of my mouth.... but it stayed put.... and so mouth open in wonder, filled with a mechanical butterfly beating it's wings frantically.... I watched dragon-like creatures running madly over the top of the dome that i was in and myriad geometric scenes of which i now have little memory.... too much to remember flashing in and out of my vision.... and some form of entity nodding in approval at my reaction to this thing in my mouth....and all the time these strange mechanical clicking and whirring sounds..... and then one by one the wings fell off the butterfly and i swallowed them, as one might swallow a sacramental wafer, and the sphere in my mouth disintegrated and the orb in which i lay began to fade and spirit beings waved good-bye....
and I marveled at this gift I'd been given, this sacred, living, cosmic food....
and i waved back at those waving at me....
I wonder now if perhaps i had tried to sing, something may have come out of my mouth....
Would love to know if anybody else has experienced similar..... certainly I've not yet read anything quite as vivid as my experiences with "cosmic food"
