Maybe you have to consider your sources. If they are good, then most likely your MHRB is good too There should be a thread somewhere here listing reliable sources...

If you have the necessary materials for extraction, go ahead and do the extraction If you get fluffy yellow crystals I guess you got DMT, if not maybe not..

I wouldn't have known myself if I got that (from your pictures) in the mail, but I had done the extract and seen what I've got.

Hm...

From my experience seeing whole mhrb chunks, your pictures do not look much like it - but do not take my word for granted, as things may not be as they always seem, i.e. colours in photos can be a bit off compared to reality and seasonal variations can alter the consistency/texture of the tree a bit.

What I remember from when i was playing with whole chunks of mhrb is that it is more "stringy" and if you take break the root bark apart with your hands you can will have (thick to medium thickness) fibers generated.

But the proof is in the pudding, since this is what you have, go ahead and use it for whatever reason you plan on using it...maybe even do a test with, say, 50grams and an STB extraction (= quicker to get results) and see if that's the real thing.

If anyone else should have doubts regarding the quality of recently purchased mhrb, please contact your vendor to voice your concerns...

At least one vendor that I know of has had bunk Mexican bark delivered to them, which they only realized after said bark had already been sent to a number of customers...

Said vendor is going to replace the bad bark that I, and at least one other Nexian, got with fresh Brazilian bark that's arriving in the very near future...

This, of course, is a total disaster for them, but not resolving this situation would be very bad for their reputation (and therefore their business), hence their efforts to meet the quality standards/satisfy their customers...

Realise this thread is probably closed now but i just joined today. Turns out that the delivery Swim just received is Trunk bark also. I'd be very interested if someone would PM me to see whether it is the same vendor and whether they've spoken with them yet or not.
