Just curious if purging my spice after i freeze precip and decant then use the pump vac will make a diffrence. I know it will help the evap, just curious if anyone has any experience. Was making some shatter and it crossed my mind. Will it have any effect on yeild or quality? Or is this just a waste of my time? I assume it would remove any impurities left behind. Any help would be appreciated.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

After freeze precip I always have a problem with residual naptha being trapped inside of the spice after I deccant. It causes slight yellowing of my freeze precip. I imagine a vaccuum would solve that. Did you do a side by side of vaccuum pump and non? Id like to see results.

Reduced pressure could help naphtha evaporate faster at same temperature and container would not allow harmful vapors outside. I also noticed naphtha yellowing after extraction but not sure what caused that.

I can confirm it does work well. After I pull from freezer I put my dish in a vacuum dessicator with some drierite or MgSO4
