You are not your emotions. Take a step outside the maelstrom of "you" once or maybe even thrice in a while, clamber over yourself and make someone smile and goodness tends to wander your way

Hello. I'll start with the admission that I'm an idiot. An idiot in many ways. A good natured idiot most certainly but an idiot who has stumbled into this realm and wished deeply that I paid more attention in chemistry. I read someones signature on this forum and they'd taken an Albert Einstein quote which went " Education is what happens after you leave school" and for me the world of atoms and energy has just dawned and I'm in awe. Like a religious experience but based more on the total recognition of my inability to ever comprehend the grandeur that surrounds my than a surrender to a pre subscribed deity. Generally makes me happy to know it's too big for us monkey's to fully understand. A good leveller. And the reason that I can proclaim supreme idiocy but with the caveat that from here on out I am going to try as hard as I can to understand these crumbs from the table. I love the way certain
chemicals lift the flimsy veil of reality and I adore that people can talk in these forums about their experiences, their science, their passion and concerns. Like I said, I'm an idiot out to learn as much as I can but as a disclaimer, I've only just figured out the difference between covalent bonds and ionic bonds. I was mucking about with GeoMag today and realised how amazing this stuff is when it comes to thinking about how everything fits together. Anyworth. How do you do? Take care and care for yourself and everyone around you. Lots of love. An idiot.

God We're so lucky,

Welcome to the Nexus!

I want to stress that education is great but that one does not need to understand chemistry to be able to grow plants, to be able to extract entheogens at home from those plants. And this is what the Nexus is about.

If you can read, research, follow directions, etc. you are good to go. Extracting substances such as DMT and mescaline are easier than pulling off a full turkey dinner in my experience. If you can cook a meal from a new recipe you can extract DMT, Very happy.

Take a good look around. Well meaning, highly intelligent people have worked for years to make this place what it is. The deeper you look, the further it will go.

The extraction teks can be found in the wiki. The Attitude link will introduce you to our rules, ideals, and culture and Health & Safety is self-explanitory. I encourage you to make use of all of these initial resources.

Also, this Introduction Essay is an opportunity for you to do just that - introduce yourself to us. We get that you are wow'd but hope that in fact you are NOT an idiot. I like to say I may do stupid things on occasion but I am far from stupid, Very happy. You see, Nexus is about self-extracting, growth, insight, etc. Idiots don't fare well with these things, Very happy.

So, I'd like to encourage you to take a breath and maybe start over. Tell us about yourself, your interests, your focus, philosophy and hobbies in life - things like that. Also, give us a sense of your level of entheogen use experience. Have you just begun these explorations or are you an old head? Basically, I would encourage you to share with us what brings you to the Nexus.

And again, welcome, Smile.
"But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."

Hi Pandora,

Thank you for your welcome!Smile

To clarify, my introductory post was not to telegraph to the community that I'm some sort of marauding dim wit who'll mouth breath and head scratch his way through the lazy man's method and wind up in hospital with 80% Lye burns and Naptha poisoning. I suppose what I meant to say was I feel proper humbled and grateful a resource like the Nexus exists with all it's wonderful knowledge and know-how and stuff. However Pandora I take your point and will follow your adviceSmile New intro to follow!
